Distracted Success Freak

So, I actually did decide to do another Physics chapter in the end, and here it is: Force and Momentum. I liked this chapter when we were doing it in class and again, revising it here, It’s short enough and straightforward, which I like.

Hey everyone, sorry for being so inactive! Truth is, that I lost all my motivation (again), but I’ve regained it again this month after seeing how little I got done last month (I’m actually kind of ashamed of it). But hey, I’m back now (hopefully)!

Luckily for me, the chapters start off quite small in physics. These are my notes on Linear Motion. 

The black pen is a Uniball Eye Fine (the page kind of soaked up the ink), and the blue and green pens are Staedtler Triplus Fineliners. The reddy-pinky colour used in the heading is an old calligraphy pen that I just pierced the ink of, hoping that it was a stronger red so that I didn’t have to spend time on the fancy calligraphy using the Uniball Eye red pen that I have.

Hey, guys, my name is Ruth, and I’m from Ireland and have just finished fifth year in secondary school. This is my second ‘About Me’ post because I accidentally closed my other one when it was finished, and now have to spend even more time typing the whole thing out again. But hey, what else do I have to be doing??

Anyway, as I was saying, my name is Ruth and I’m from Ireland. Actually, currently, it’s the second week of the state exams, and watching all of the sixth years stressing about their exams (*insert evil laugh here and know that karma’s gonna get me next year*), has actually motivated me to start this blog.

I actually created a Study Instagram account in November of last year with my sister but ended up abandoning it. You see, we didn’t get home from school until between four and ten-past-four, and then we ate our dinner, and then, before we knew it, it was way too dark to get any good pictures of the notes that we wrote. Eventually, the account became more of a hinderance than a motivation.

But hey, it’s summer now (*sad “yay” in the distance*)! And what could be a better time to start studying properly and writing sexy notes than now, when the sun is shining it’s bright out, and when I have so much more hours in the day now with there being no school (that I could be sleeping during)?! Anyway, I’ve already wasted two full weeks of these summer holidays and am currently five days behind in my Irish Summer Study Schedule (Like the alliteration? It doesn’t make it any more attractive, unfortunately, though).

And, I seriously need to study. The course I want to get into in college has quite high points, and I know right well just how fucked I am for it. I mean, I’m dreading my summer report coming in the post soon (or in a month, knowing my school), because I know the looks of disappointment I’ll get and the talk of: “maybe it’s time to look at different college course options”.

But fuck that, fuck them, I am going to prove to my parents that I can actually get As in big exams. That I will study and I will get the points in my Leaving Cert to get that one course that I want (well, the way I look at it, I either get the course I want or go and do an acting course instead, which isn’t exactly a secure job). And that I will stay motivated. Sorry guys, I’m trying to keep the positive vibes, considering how bad of a start this blog has already gotten off to.

So, because this only my second post on this blog, I’m not gonna preach to yous about what exactly this blog is gonna be. What kind of study account it’s gonna be. Will it have more notes? More inspirational quotes? More reposts? More study tips and hacks? More stationery posts? More bullet journal posts? Who knows? I don’t.

What I do know, however, is that since the subjects that I’m studying for the LC are English, Irish, Maths, Physics, Biology, French and Home Economics (all higher level), that those are what the study notes that I will post will be of.

Well, if you’ve actually decided to join me by following this blog, then welcome! (and thank you, seriously, I need all the followers I can get, you’re doing a great community service by following and keeping me motivated). I promise that I will try and stay active and keep posting as much as I can. So, congratulations if you actually bothered to read this whole post (real dedication), and welcome to my studyblr blog featuring my extreme sarcasm and sailor vocab. 

Seeing all of the current sixth years stressing about their exams reminds me of just how fucked I am for next year, especially in Physics, Irish, English and Biology. So I’ve decided to get ahead of myself and start making notes (and getting a bit of study in) before I actually enter sixth year, because something tells me that I won’t have time to be re-writing notes from fifth year. Anyway, this is my first post on this blog, and I’ve decided to use this blog as motivation to actually study this summer (as looking back on this will be satisfying). 

These are my chapter one: Physical Quantities Physics notes (as you can see, I’m starting off small; this is the whole chapter).

The black and red pens are “fine” Uniball Eye pens, and the green and blues are Staedtler Triplus Fineliners. I don’t quite like the Uniballs on this particular paper, as it kind of soaks it up, making fuzzy lines instead of straighter, more precise ones, and also making the lines thicker. I think I’ll buy more black and blue Triplus Fineliners, as they seem to work on most pages that I have at home, and I completely used the black one I have, and the light blue one I’ve used here is extremely worn down, because I used it for my Junior Cert French notes last year.
