Disposable Razors & Cartridges

King C. Gillette. This handle is in the Bronze variant. I chose to use a Fusion5 ProShield cartridge instead of the cart it came with, as I thought the yellow would like nice with the bronze (actually a dark brown) handle.

Bic EasyRinse. This is the women's variant that uses the same handle shape as the Soleil line. I really didn't like shaving with the razor at all - the head is bulky, tugged on my facial hair, and left a lot of goop behind from the lube strips.

Schick Xtreme 3 Sensitive/ComfortPlus/Classic Sensitive. This is an old model of Xtreme 3 that I can't pinpoint to the exact purchased model, as it was unboxed when I acquired it. The shave wasn't very slick and was grabby on 2-day stubble growth.

Dorco Razors N Foam. These disposables are really cool, even if they sucked to shave with! They have their own shaving foam and dispenser built right into the handle. Of course, this is primarily a gimmick and the foam was really terrible to use, but the fact that they tried at all is interesting. I normally like Dorco blades but these were bad all around.

Gillette Fusion Gamer. I paired this razor handle with the SkinGuard cartridges because I thought they looked nice together. The SkinGuard blades gave worked well and lasted for over two weeks of shaves. I think this handle model is fairly rare.

Harry's Truman in Storm Grey. This is the Truman model before it was redesigned to include a large plastic portion on the handle. The Storm Grey color is one of my favorites that Harry's has put out for this model, and I own many variations. I didn't get a picture of the blades for this one.

Bic Soleil. The design of these razors captivated me since I first saw commercials for them. They are designed for body shaving but worked great for shaving facial hair - and they are very pretty to boot! Not sure why I left the cap on for the blade photo here.

Gillette Vector 3 (or Sensor Excel). This razor was imported from India. It didn't make for a very smooth shave and tugged on light 2-day stubble growth.

Col. Ichabod Conk Double Track. This is the variant in gold tone - it also comes in chrome. The cartridge is Gillette Trac II style. Note that while the cartridge I used arrived with a rust spot, it still shaved fine.

Gillette Venus ComfortGlide plus Olay (Coconut). I didn't like this shave at all, even after removing the bulky gel strips. The blades just feel rough and not very high quality. This is another razor obviously not built for shaving facial hair (not that I expected it to be). I do like the gold color, though!

Schick Xtreme 3 for Women, Hawaiian Tropic, old model. This is a discontinued model of the women's Xtreme 3 in the Hawaiian Tropic scent. By the time I used this razor, they were out of their packaging and didn't have the scent left in the handles. I found the shave grabby and unpleasant on my face.

ReliaShave Six Blade. This razor was purchased from a Dollar Tree. This is a terrible, throw-away-after-one-shave razor. It shaved close, but tugged on the first use and felt quite unpleasant.

Gillette Guard. This is a single blade cartridge razor sold in the Indian market. It gives a very nice shave for only having one blade! Interestingly, the extra cartridges I bought for it come in single-packed sachets.

Super Dorco II disposable, this time the pink variant marketed for women. A pretty junky razor, only good for a few shaves before tossing it out. This is notably at odds with my original comments on the men's variant, but my facial hair had grown significantly thicker before I tried this razor.

Dorco Comfort Thin II. This razor was purchased as one of Dollar Shave Club's original options, before they started selling their own-brand models. This razor is compatible with Gillette Atra blades, unlike Dorco's "Pace" line.

Bic Sensitive. This a very solid razor despite its low price and simplicity. Highly recommended as a cheap razor!

Assured Triple for Men. Assured is the store brand for Dollar Tree. This is the men's variant in blue and black. Poor shave that tugged on 2-day stubble.
