“Umbral” is the spanish word for threshold: The entrance; the limit or the beginning of something, that could be a vortex to a black hole, or just decay. This project explores the materiality of photography and the relationship between memory and image. It was necessary that the beam of light went into the vortex; through the film, and made contact whit the photographic surface.
