Serendipitous Rhertoric

Like a glass being filled by an over eager waiter I'm overflowing. I've got too much love Too much hope I'm brimming with serendipity And refuse to acknowledge that faster than I can imagine I will soon cascade down the sides of glass barriers I cannot raise. I will fall. I will spill. Not so majestically, Maybe break a few things along the way. Break more than bones perhaps. My will. My heart. My deepest desires. But it will be beautiful. A disaster of course but a beautiful one nonetheless. And although I refuse to acknowledge it, I am aware that gravity will do its job yet again. Not allowing me to stay suspended in air, in between lines. I will rush forth Bubbling and gurgling Onto a new surface. Alien land. Forced to adapt. To shift shapes yet again so that I can know existence again. And now I'm building Dams faster than you know. Working to constrict myself. Prevent unnecessary spillage. -Kaltum Shire

Softer It’s in the subtle way you react when I get too emotional.
In the way you shut down when I get too passionate.
In the way you scold when I begin to get frantic.
Urge me to be softer. Smoother. Less combustible.
To suppress,constrict and lay dormant.
To be prettier. 
I don’t want to be cut into bite sized bits you can chew. 
I want to be whole so you can’t swallow me alive and call me art.
I’m not a structured painting you can manipulate with careful strokes.
I’m more than a man made masterpiece,
I am gods handiwork perfectly imperfect ice
I am performance art, 
it’s impossible to constrain this living into mere metaphors. 
I will not be chipped at and buffed.
I am not soft. I am not small. I’m not easy to digest.
