Act and be --don't be an act
Dirtyred69
My response:
Be yourself.
Expose what you are embarrassed to expose.
Show what you are embarrassed to show.
Love all the hate you receive.
Act and be without being an act.
Start anonymous and be honest when holding back.
Imitation is flattery..master modesty.
Thank people because you mean it.
Take suggestions.
Be comfortable out of your comfort zone.
entertain anything you abhor.
Remain virtuous.
Be arbitrary toward external affairs.
Share to (do not) produce for.
Admit & Conquer your vulnerability.
Be daring; dare to be
, what you were reluctant to express,
will stand with pride above all the rest.
How do I find what's right for me? Trial and error. Innocent until proven guilty
How do I keep my friends and family from knowing? represent yourself with honesty, and you no longer wish anonyminity.
Therefore, if someone doesn't accept me, that's fine with me. It took like 5 years for me to see that there was no need to be anonymous. In time, you see what I mean
.

An attempt to subvert the American Culture by me
You may recall from school some things learned about Shakespeare, Sports, and Creationism, But rarely do we stop to contemplate the things that could be missin' from our classroom conventionalism standardized cores for our dated curriculum of socialized knowledge is incessantly thrown at American youth before reaching college.
Before attending a pricy University, I never knew shit 'bout Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, or the etymology of this hated word: "philosophy." But I knew of the evil things taught about World Wars Two and One, and I knew the revolutionary war that our Boston Tea Party begun.
I drew doodles as history teachers told terrors of the holocaust, students are bored because each year the same shit is retaught.
In science, we had discussions of God and Creationism
to avoid offending any religion by learning Darwinism.
Educated not once by the water of Thales',
who founded the method used in scientific theory,
and predicted a solar eclipse in 585 BC,
and he's said to be the father of Western Philosophy.
Thinking was different, then came Hereclitus & logos change,
later, Epictetus' great thoughts, living life as an "acquired" slave.
But as Shakespeare conveyed these are just names I say
and by any other name they would still smell the same way.
And just like arete, ethos, philo and sophia,
It seemed over my head, shit was all Greek to me.
But after I learned about a man that I never once knew,
I began to pursue old wisdom that is researched by so few.
Let me begin… here I go…so listen to know what you don't.
(((((((((Socrates born 470 BC in Athens where he remained until his death date, Socrates knew Plato, Plato taught Aristotle in The Academy gates. There was no God, by Zeus, there were many more than one. Many Gods for people to consult, Gods that often disagreed and fought.
Socrates thought that arguments between Gods was strange, because an action thought pious could also be in disdain. Socrates questioned things, but he knew nothing for sure. He was rumored wisest man alive, but refused to believe this grandeur.
Let's say Wisdom is defined as knowing what you do not know-- Not pretending to know like Socrates' dear friend Euthyphro. Socrates--the founder of questions and philosophy insisted that he knew nothing, someone was certainly wiser than he.
Socrates told by the oracle to be the wisest of them all spent his days devoted to proving this assumption wrong. He wondered Athens in search anyone he could see, so he could figure out if anyone was indeed wiser than he.
I can tell you about how Plato followed old Socrates around caring enough to write all that Socrates did and said down. I can tell you stories about him and those like young Euthyphro-- if that is something in which you respectfully do not know.
As said before, if really wisdom is that which you do not know, Then we must seek the things we hear but do not know. So if you want to seek the knowledge that I speak, you are wise but don't expect me to drop it at your naive feet.))))))))))
Now, when I speak to you about philosophy, some will roll their eyes and disagree, some will grunt because they hate to read, some will say they know the stories..... Some will say this shit is boring. Those that do not say anything but sit in think, are going to be the change the world seems to need.
Practice makes perfect, so repeat what I say, read Socrates, Plato and Aristotle quotes every day, read them so much you teach them to others because repeating is one thing and application is another.
.......... I speak for Socrates since he died before his ideas sufficed. I speak to those who have not adjusted their eyes. (Socrates, a savior that can set our minds free,?) not by psalms or promises or hope or piety. Faith is a scapegoat that my mind does not need, respectfully I advise, if you love the Bible skim some St. Augustine theology........
In the Bible,
they praise God
disregarding human intelligence, (in uncanny similarity with Nicomachean Ethics.) -----Aristotelian Teachings achieving a good life and its purpose, (written 350 years before Jesus was bore from Mary the virgin.)
^^^^In this book, Aristotle has goodness defined and the meaning of life
is a logical outline:
and the good in
every action
that every human does
is to achieve
some form of good
that wants to be done.
Or at least that's ok chapter
One had been begun.
We are all brothers,
Humankind,
as one in the all the same,
but the constant between us is the perception we change.
What is our purpose for being alive? Aristotle and the Bible's ideas coincide. Even when Martin Luther King had that dream, he illustrated it by Aristotilian means.
Every action we do for the good we reason it as such. We can reason anything, even make true of a hunch.
What is real? But What is reality?
Every particular must have a conceptual universality. Does the end justify the means?
Or is this machiavellian subjectivity?
How do we refute when pressured to abide? How do we express the answers we contrive?
Plato says hope is a waking dream. I am still not exactly sure what that means. I must remind you in brevity,
I cannot do justice to Socrates. Euthyrphro dialectic on piety, The blessing of death heard by Crito after a failed Apology. The tedious Meno, I do recall was kind of a square analogy.
I do know some things--things about myself. Socratically speaking, one can only be sure of thyself. I do know when I read Ancient Greek Philosophy, I'm not told what to think,
that thinking is all me.
I learn to appreciate, respect, and honor opposition or violent dissent from the people I encounter. I can see your fallacies flawing silent unsound. I learn how to learn. I learn how to think. I learn how to recognize a verbal manipulation of the weak. But I can't tell you how to eat. I can only eat as I think one ought, and I can only insure you, what must be learned cannot be taught.
A valiant attempt I make to share Socratic way of life? plant the seed needed to make curiosity alive? Plato said if we don't flourish, we will wilt and die people are dirt if you can't see good in their irrational minds.
What I am saying cannot be taught, what I am saying can only be sought.
No one plays the guitar like Hendrix in one single night, but they fix the notes when they are wrong and don't sound right. But be wary of your inner commentary that are your thoughts because our inner voice is biased assuming sometimes what we should not.
The more we train our initial internal interpretations, the more we realize that we know nothing. So...Is it possible to know anything at all? Ignorance is evil if we choose to know it at all.
Right now, I can write how you should think I can impress you with what some say pretentious preach. I say do not preach at all because people will remember your actions over what your speech was.
I would love to convey all the philosophy that changed my life, but that would be boring as shit even for me to write. To an old professor, Mr. Beabout, I pay restitution to his class that "be about" valid premise and logic conclusion.
But what do I know that's substantial anyhow? You are man, premise to end sounds sound.
You are free to reason: this is all lies. The truth that exists is actual, the truth you reason is equally factual. and if you see my certainty as absurdity somehow either before or now... You can hustle and bustle with that atheist Bertrand Russell
because fools are so sure of themselves anyhow.
For it's true: only a fool is happy in a fool's paradise,
very foolish is he who's soul is devoid of virtue in its life.
To all this, in the end,
I say fuck everything I previously stated. I'm probably wrong in all existentialism lost in its time. The reasoning now justified and poetically preserved. Existing now as nothing but a vessel jaded of rhyme.
Stephen King said adverbs lead you straight to hell,
and a curse word negates your respect quite well.
Everything is influx, unscathed opposition embraced
Don't delay!
Show me Nihilism epitomized in hedonistic dreams, Crown Sartre, the Republic needs a philosopher king!
But first, you must know something, a post quite serious: I Kant get any empirical evidence of this PUN experience!
I cannot show you a world that you want to dread. I cannot hide you from the light under your bed. I cannot pretend your shadows are real. I cannot pretend that I am certain on anything I feel.
I can't say I will be happy after I die. I do not talk of what I do not know, because I ask to learn any unknown. But, I will always be happy when I am alive.
When Socrates died choosing the hemlock without hesitation or fear in sight, even though death was his anticipation. O how Socrates argues in support quick to die for his cause, Prosecuted by Meletus, brought to court be-cause of three things Socrates is accused to have done: 1. Corrupting the youth in Athenian Streets, prying, annoying, questioning all Greeks he meets. 2. Creating his own Gods, (questioning Mythological ways), 3. making the lesser argument appear strong when conveyed.
In a jail cell, Socrates waits for his death in patience, then he looks up to see a friend in the prison entrance. Crito came that night faithfully to set his teacher justly free from the confines of the Athenian death penalty.
Socrates says "no" to Crito's pleas because it was wrong to break the law, morally wrong for him to be free. With respect to his Athenian state, he told Crito, the judgement is made,
so under a citizen's duty here I wait.
Socrates speaks out and references one God: I examine my life, I have satisfied my time my life is worth living, for my life's work, I die. Tell my sons to act: only as I, Tell my accusers, my death a blessing. I look forward to my last journey, this one of no telling. I apologize if you perceive my actions were hurtful to you. And I forgive Athens for this judgement and any evil intent which they do . And lastly, I speak departing my Apology of dissent.
"You go to live while I go to die whichever of us is right, only God will decide."
Look at the painting of his death, before drinking the hemlock, before taking his final breath, he holds his finger in the air, Crito is looking up at him with respect and intensity in his stare. The priest cries at the end of the bed because he knows that justice has not been said.
But when you're in the dark your whole life, changing your world requires time to adjust in the light. Or else your visiion cannot see the true form of what is real. This idea of sight is nothing but a caveman like allegory just some Greek guy talking platonically in a wordy story.
I emulate those that I respect-- I do not worship fat buddhist men by rubbing their chests, Before Jesus was nailed to a cross... Socrates was doing as I think we all ought.
Don't accept my authority on any of this, human thought is displayed through articulated dissent. Through thinking many ways not just in a line, but every which way,
so your mind isn't confined.
This is the kind of thinking our public school suppress. A government fueling linear thought through public education an outdated approach we need to address before the government discourages argumentation and shuts up those that question uniformity in thought….
You know why they say no stupid question was sought or exists? because Questions epitomize thinking, and! if thinking persists, thinking broadens and strengthens if exercised over time and our thoughts expand outside of a simplistic line.
Education-- I resent you-- like I resent the poison Hemlock.
My mind isn't fit for a uniform and closed box of thought. If you heed anything from my simplistic rhymes and what not... know thyself, and teach nothing to no one, but do as you ought.
Like Meno recalling knowledge he never thought he knew, we all are capable to already have all that we ever pursue, once you ascent to where Plato speaks about A sight of relief falls at your feet Because you realize that thinking laterally is what life is about. therapy for anything you encounter with strife.
So... denotes the conclusion is here.... are you ready to understand your unbeknownst fears?
Repeat what you are inspired by 1000 times over because good advice should be heated as habit something to do and be done over and over
Once again,
What must be learned cannot be taught. My advice… My advice… My advice my fucking advice, my advice is nothing but words I wrote in stories I've told so be skeptical of all this bullshit I just shot and sold.
