colehickes:
Feeling the arm around his shoulder caused Coleâs eyes to grow wide. What was he supposed to do? Biting even harder on his bottom lip, he slowly looked over to him and saw the same casual demeanor on the man he knew back in the Cirque. It was one of the things that drew him into the Demon which only made this moment so much harder for Cole. âI know, I know. Itâs just hard. Iâve always been a flight person, not really on the side of fight. Only time I did was when it came to the raids.â Cole sighed heavily, slowly looking away from the other as they continued to walk the man back to his penthouse. âIâll be honest, I have no idea where you live. You can always crash at my place. Itâs got my Sire and his lover there but I donât think theyâre home. You can crash on the couch or something.â
His grin disappeared, replaced with an intense frown, the mention of the raids dulling his buzz for a moment. âSâlong as ya didnât run durinâ those, then youâre fine by me.â Those exact words held a lot more weight if they were said to Cole while Sinclair was sober, delivered during a conversation about their strained relationship. But instead, they were given to Cole by a drunk Sinclair. âHuh?â He blinked slowly, gaze flicking around them, trying to gain a sense of where they were. âMy place ainât that far from here. Just that way.â A vague wave of his hand towards the left followed his words, his other arm still slung around Coleâs shoulders. âItâs easier to get to work if I live out here.â
