Ruby gave Weiss someone who didn't care about her name, or what she could do for them, and just decided I like this person, and am gonna be her friend, and saw the good in Weiss. So she did it.

This allowed Weiss to grow past her upbringing, and become one of the shows favorites who (V9 notwithstanding) is always changing or becoming better in some way from who she was because she had Ruby at her back who was there for her.

Weiss gives Ruby a challenge. and vice versa. They help each other grow.

Weiss will almost always back Ruby's plays, but she's also not afraid to put her foot down and tell Ruby exactly why something she's doing might be stupid. In return Ruby knows that when Weiss does do this she NEEDS to listen.

Weiss gives Ruby focus, and the pushes she needs to keep her focused so she can be the leader, and huntsman Weiss knows she can be, and is deep down.

Weiss does not allow people to touch her all that often...except Ruby. This isn't to say she doesn't initiate contact with others, but if you look at the people who are allowed to just walk up and initiate touching her one on one you'll see it's mostly/usually Ruby doing so.

When Ruby wakes up at Haven she moves Jaune's hands because it doesn't matter what he's doing, Ruby knows Weiss DOES NOT like to be touched without giving permission, and yet time, and time again Ruby knows when Weiss needs her, and will go guide her, or hold her hands and lead her somewhere else.

When they're separated they think of each other constantly, unless it's normal to hear your friends name and look longingly at the sky.

It started even back in initiation. Weiss isn't an idiot and wants to be on Pyrrha's team. She sees Jaune held up by what is obviously Pyrrha's spear.

She is talented enough to intercept Pyrrha and make them partners, but she goes back. She goes back to Ruby proving it was her choice to make them partners. She chose Ruby over Jaune, and Pyrrha, and I hope she never stops.

There is no other character in the show that is a match for these two other than the other.

They are partners and equals (except maybe young maria you know. Worked it in there). Anyone else they can and would easily walk over in a relationship.

I know people will ship other things but realistically I can't see them with anyone else.

Do you just play random tag on the train with speed semblance girl, thank me later, and change someone's life to such a monumental degree and then you're told 'yeah they're just friends?'.

It's disingenuous to me to pretend that WR growing together aren't just the best thing about the show.

Their partnership is what keeps me watching, and the hope of them getting together.

Love is a choice, and time, and time again Ruby and Weiss have shown us that they will choose each other.
