going to try sewing a top and not want to walk into traffic in the process

i tried making a simple rectangle wrap top yesterday like literally the easiest thing you could do, right? just put two rectangles with a neck hole together and add ties. easy! but as far as i got was putting them together at the shoulders and then I tried hemming the collar and it came out all rippled and fucked up. so then i spent 40 minutes picking out my seams.

today i am gonna try using bias tape around the neckline. and i think im gonna completely switch one of the fabrics. i will persevere.
