Doom: the dark ages
Idk, spoilers, like Doom has any:/
I finished the game with Super Shotgun(next SS), shield, and flail on "nightmare" without any problems. I think cas the game is too fast, and u have no time to stay and shoot like it's some sort of Call of Duty. Why? Use shield like "Get over here" to close the distance then u kill 90% demons by 1 or 2 shots. Wait, demons have an armor? Yes, for this dudes we have upgraded flail and SS, they broke every type of the armor in combo by one or two seconds + up.flail gives u a little bit armor. Energy weapon was necessary in one chapter. I reckon that most of the weapons are useless:/
Level design, ugh level design. First chapters are piece of.. PLATEAU, after chapter ~5 better, definitely better.
Atlant and dragon levels—interesting, but boring after first attempt cas there are two typs of enemies and two typs of attacks. Rarely it feels like fresh water in hot day.
Cthulhu.. I already accept that Cthulhu become an national treasure, but any way—it feels weird. But also funny, I just realise that i beat the Cthulhu two times being Doom Guy ahahh, ok)
Music—indifferently, for the atmosphere is fine and I also have few in my play list, but mostly feels boring. Music for music:/ While you're playing the music feels—ok, but then you will remember only ~3. I still remember most music from Clair Obscur: expedition 33 lol, music with story and soul. More than just white noise for an atmosphere, appreciate it.
Collectable things and secrets—was interest to find and collect. I personally like this part of the game.
In conclusion: Good game, for one time really funny and cool. But it's better to buy during an sale/event;) less than 20h of gameplay(17h in my situation, important to say that i finished all chapters on 98-100%).
So now I've middle age hyperfixation so it will be KCD and Captive Prince by Pacat.
I wanted to draw Shadowheart in Doom setting like an basic art of mine, but more likely it will be a couple of chibis. If you are interested on this idea, I pinned the sketch with my "base style" below. I just have the feeling that this drawing will never look good, or how I expected in my thoughts. Weird feeling, don't like it. Mb I just have to end the sketch, and draw the chibis?(hm actually good idea)
