Last Friday I dropped by @unityjiujitsusabah , the first 100% Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) only training centre in KK and possibly in Sabah. Located at City Mall, the centre is owned and managed by Syaiful, Jason and David (as seen in the beginning of the video), three BJJ fighters who opened the centre out of their passion for the martial art. Unity provides top training to students through 5 experienced local coaches: Soh Boon Haw, Adrian Tham, Michael Chong, Andy Bartholomew, Happy Liew Ming). The environment of this centre is friendly, healthy and clean for everyone to enjoy being there. Through Unity, the three owners wants to see the BJJ community grow and create the awareness that this is a beautiful martial art not just for the skills involved but also to learn how to have a stronger mentality and finding solutions to go through and overcome challenges. Hiked Bukit Tirig earlier this month with my buddy @slevian . Started late but managed to catch up with friends @leanna_yapp and Janice at the peak. Tirig was easier than I expected and is another recommend hill for beginners. View wise is not bad but Perahu remains the best in my list. A waiter then pointed me towards this mangrove forest that was next to the restaurant, which happens to be part of the attraction of this area. My mum and I walked & walked and finally we found the gathering spot. It was a lovely outdoor setting and we we were happy to see the rest of the family clan there.
