I want to appreciate the rescue bots' optics! Or eyes
Why? I am proud to say that they successfully fought off the stereotypical optic colouration! Not just the main four, but the additional bots as well (Hightide having green eyes, Blurr orange, Salvage in some of his figures...)
I am talking about the 'good' guys always having blue optics
while warmer optic colouratios are usually attributed to the decepticons, the 'evil' side. Which causes them to be seen as malicious. It's like a breath of fresh air seeing them on the most selfless bots in the galaxy: the rescue bots!
Also cuz their optics are super creative
Blades got his optics matching his orange paint, maybe a little lighter shade
Ohhh, and look at their shape! This is what I am talking about! I can't remember any other bot in tf having them like this
Boulder could be seen with blue optics, but that's just his eye covering. He has orange optics
Ya can't see it well in this pic but he has one aye bigger than the other!
Heatwave the hothead got an interesting situation going on. Nothing we really haven't seen before in tf media -but still crazy- changing colour optic. Showed clearly in tfo.
Mate's optics change from grey to orange when he's annoyed! At least, that's what i observed.
And my fav at last!
I am not sure about Chase's optic colouration.
In most scenes, they look grey- which many believe is his optics true colour
We also get scenes with his optics being dull green(or am I just imagining it?)
BUT in others they are clearly orange
My conclusion? Same as Heatwave. Chase's optics change when he's feeling down to dull green and orange when he's feeling any strong emotion
Can't forget to mention Optimus. This old bot got yellow optics! Is that a reference to marvel optimus? Peak reference
They look good on him
