Things that happened at last night's comcert:
Being front row on Russell's side of the stage meant I got to appreciate the nail polish properly.
Russell slapping his own arse during the lyric 'I could use a strong rear guard'.
Also a little hip thrust from Russell for 'let's get funky'
Russell generally seeming in a great mood and being fairly chatty and playful. At one point during one of his (typically) rambling introductions I saw Ron glancing at him in an apparent 'where is he going with this?' way, then laughing a little at the conclusion.
Mickey Mouse lyric change to 'and we own a little place in Blackpool, England'.
Asking who was actually from Blackpool prompting loud cheers, then asking who wasn't from Blackpool getting even louder cheers.
Russell getting so carried away jumping round at the front of the stage during one song (my memory fails me as to the exact one) he had to rush back to his mic on the table, and then had to pick it up in such a hurry to start the final verse he was holding it with his hand twisted the wrong way up.
Russel using his elbow to nudge Ron forward for applause.
The usual Ron chant for the band intros. Then we got a Russell chant going. And Russell saying something to the effect of 'thank you, but that kind of spoils the way we do things', prompting laughter.
