Hi! I really love your art and your YouTube channel and I was wondering if maybe you could explain a little further how to comprise comic strips and clean lineart? I'm really having trouble with mine 😓 thank you!
Hi there! Hmm well comic strips/pages are a matter of flow, composition and readability. The way I learned (I think) was reading a looot of comics when i was younger. I think I learned the basics of how to tell a story and lead your eye through the page. So find a few comics that you like and study them and how they do it. As long as you keep all your characters moving with the left to right rule of movement (because this is how we read) you can basically do whatever you want. Also another tip (and something I love to think about when thumbnailing) is tempo. Imagine an animated series, the more frames the longer the scene. Same thing with comics, the more similar panels the slower the pacing seems. So try taking your time and introduce the environment and characters, and when it comes to the action go bold, quick and big! Its weird how it will affect how the reader reads the comic. That’s mostly for pages though, I’m not as familiar with strips! Also that was me just rambling.. hope it kind of made sense?
Also clean lineart is tricky. Its a skill you just need to practice! Smooth lineart will come when you are more confident and quick with your strokes. If you work digitally remember to work on a big canvas as smaller files will make your lines look bad. I work on 3000x3000 px and up with 300DPI. Also some programs have stabilisers that will help with shakyness. And last but not least, learn about lineweight, this can transfor the look of your linework pretty quick! Though the topic is a bit too complicated for me to only write down..
Again hope it helped and thank you for your question :)
hey, i just got an ipad pro and was wondering if you use/would recommend getting a matte screenprotector to make it easier to draw on?
Yes! I put one on the moment I got mine. It just makes it easier to draw and it will prevent your screen from any scratches :) I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Tech-Armor-Anti-Glare-Anti-Fingerprint/dp/B01N4WDVKG
Have fun with your new ipad!
I'm having a really bad art funk ( or art block) and I am getting really frustrated/disgusted with my art style. do you have any tips on how to overcome this feeling?
I’m not sure if you watch my youtube channel, but I just addressed this feeling in my last video! I have some tips there on how I get out of it :) Hope it helps! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnxMlvwprCE&t=1s
Also when it comes to art styles.. I need to make a video about it. Its all about finding other artists work that you love, take bits and pieces from how they draw certain features that feel comfortable with you and frankenstein them together. Its all about getting comfortable with a style, and I promise you no matter how much you change your style people will most likely be able to tell your work apart from others. Its because even if I drew in 10 different style (I do this at work btw) there will always be my touch affecting the styles so they wont be 100% copies but actually have hints on who drew the drawing. Sounds weird but what I am saying is dont worry too much about it! draw how and what you draw and your comfort style will come with time <3
hi! i just found your art and i really love your style, and was wondering if you could share your lineart brush? i love the way it looks on your illustrations!!
In photoshop I use Kyle Websters Happy HB! I absolutely love that brush and use it for everything now. I don’t think you can buy the brush set anymore unfortunately, but I know the brushed come for free with photoshop CC now! (photoshop bought kyle lol) I use photoshop CS so I don’t have that luxury.
In Procreate on ipad I have modified one of the pencils to look like the happy HB that I use in photoshop! I want to share the brush but I have to figure out how :)
Thank you btw!

Hello hello ! Passing by i just discovered your yt channel and im positively surprised of your content ! I noticed you use a graphic tablet for your work . Since mine is getting old i could bein interested in the model you use . Thank you for the eventual answer and good luck with the Blackbird project !!
Hi there! I hope you are pleasantly surprised and not the opposite haha. But thank you! :) I use either a cintiq 13HD (no touch) when I work with PS on my macbook. But lately I have started to fall in love again with my 9.7″ ipad pro and procreate. Either way I enjoy working directly on the screen, I don’t remember last time I used a tablet without a monitor. I hope you find the one that works for you! I would probably recommend the Ipad at this point just purely because its super easy to bring with me everywhere and I dont need a huge laptop to connect it to.. I would not consider the wacom companions AT ALL! My bf has one and its absolutely rubbish compared to my cintiq and ipad and sooo much more expensive. Hope that helps! :D
One little doodle turned into a full page of Little Witch Academia fan art! Inspired by the gorgeous end scene of ep 2 (ノ´ヮ´)ノ✧ "The delight of their first flight brings hope to the hearts of those who behold them. And a touch is more than a blessing!" I had forgotten how much I enjoy drawing comics! Must.. make.. more! (And for you who haven't seen Little witch academia yet... shame on you.. go watch it!)

Another 3 low poly models I’ve been doing for my sketch dailies! ( = v = )/ I’m having too much fun with these! I was thinking of maybe doing commissions of peoples OC’s if anyone is interested? Unsure about the price, but please send me a message if you would like one :D
Ok so I’ve had some fun with Low poly models lately! I had to learn Blender from scratch so it took an evening to master it but it was so worth it! Loving it and I am definitely going to make more and attempt to rig these babies later <3 ( = v = ) /

Day 16: Forgot how fun and how terrible hard animating is! I'm definitely going to try to learn how to animate properly now and fix this little wolfie later o(^◇^)o
Day 11: a little sheep centaur picking apples in the orchard (=゚ω゚)ノ
Day 9: Forest witch with her Albino bunny familiar ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
Day 6: I never thought I would watch anime again but this adorable series have snuck its way into my morning routine, Flying Witch (。♥‿♥。)
Day 5: Inspired by another short story I wrote 5 years ago for school. Let's just say I really liked (and still do) Spiderwick and Monster Allergy ( = u =)/

Doing a sketch everyday this month (and hopefully after September as well) (=゚ω゚)ノ This is day 4, inspired by a poem I wrote my grandma 5 years ago “there was this girl with a koi balloon”. I haven’t been uploading them on tumblr so I’ll only upload the ones I like the best before regular updates everyday.
