crowley’s face after he miracles away the paint on aziraphale’s coat is really what gets me in that scene, because it’s the one time we get the reaction-to-the-reaction to the act of kindness, and you realize that they both know how this plays out every single time, with aziraphale getting both pleased and flustered and not knowing if he should say thank you to a demon and then scurrying away, and then crowley slowly spins to face the camera and his whole being is just screaming this complete resignation like Yes. the worst thing is that “i’ve never eaten an oyster [meaningful silence]” is such a stupidly obvious ploy to get aziraphale to invite crowley to lunch with him, surely crowley expects aziraphale to call him on it, tease him about it, except aziraphale is so excited to have an opening for sharing his love of food with crowley that his brain falls out, he immediately not only invites him along but makes the world’s first freudian slip and crowley just turns to look at him like ho. lee. shit. it’s really this easy. amazing. i love an idiot
