i'm new to this series and the characters, bear with me! i'm usually super duplicate friendly - only time i experience any anxiety is when i'm in the process of establishing a new muse and am finding my footing. for the time being, i'll avoid reading other ppl's hcs as i'm still developing my own!

Her circus name would be Ariam. it's just Maria backwards lmfao but it has some divine connotations to it.
Could easily adapt her into it since GUN has repossessed all of Gerald's work and her AU is a byproduct of that work. If they took possession of the tech A&C was working on, I can see them realizing there's a hostile AI operating from within. I can see them reconfiguring the brain scan Dr. Erin Crowel took of Maria and modifying it, making TADC!Maria's unknown purpose to subdue Cain and potentially reconfigure the amazing digital circus for GUN's own means. She would be going into it without any idea of her programming however and would be under guise of just another human that entered the circus, it'd be like a sleeper agent type situation.
She's a butterfly! I was thinking about keeping her a hedgehog because of her connection to Shadow, but I think a butterfly-inspired design would be fitting for her since they are her favorite insect (and it's thematically accurate)🤔
Her entrance would be different than the other humans. She doesn't just "pop up" on stage one day confused with her last memory being the oculus, she'd just... be there one day, unnoticed in the background - which would signal her peculiarity. With that said, she'd still be just as confused as the others and maybe a little panicked because her last memory would be of being running from something and getting shot lmao.
Convinced it's all just some weird dream, so she goes along with it.
Nice to everyone, even Cain. Probably would be able to befriend them all too, except for Jax. She'd still try to befriend him even if he's mean to her, but I think it'd just make him hate her even more lmfao.
Yet another day of the rest of the circus members being sent on an adventure and Zooble doing everything in their power to opt out of it. Normally they'd be avoiding Caine like the plague, but for the first time ever, out of utter and sheer boredom, they decided to seek out his company. Big fucking mistake, apparently.
The shapely individual stood frozen as they watch Caine, well. Unload at his office desk, panting and disheveled somehow. What the actual fuck. Is that one of those stupid fucking squishy water toys?? For a second it doesn't even register what the ringmaster was doing because it looked so absurd, but it didn't take long for Zooble to put two and two together with a blush forming on their already pink face ( they had no idea they even could still blush. )
Stunned, they completely forgot what they were even gonna ask about. Eyes lock, the realization that Zooble just walked in on Caine gooning, the fact that he even CAN goon, and the fact that he was now AWARE that ZOOBLE IS AWARE OF THE GOONING HITS LIKE A TRUCK and they stumble a step backwards. OH FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

- despite how irate they seem, they actually hate confrontation. it makes them anxious. they've always been an introverted person with subdued anxiety in social situations. this leads to them bottling their feelings and just over all being closed off. being in the digital circus with wacky caine, and especially being around someone jax who is SO antagonistic has kind of lead them to be more standoffish and vocal. there's not a whole lot of things they can control about their situation, but they can control how they react to things. after years of just subduing their feelings and trying to be as low-profile as possible, they're finally choosing to fight back.
Ragatha
- I'm gonna be so honest, I don't think she has ever had a real friend in her life, and it is in part her fault (not maliciously.) she very much reminds me of people I've known in the past (and at times, myself) that were always just so on edge and anxious all the time about how they came off to people, constantly worried about stepping on other people's toes, always apologizing to self soothe and never being her authentic self because she self loathes so hard that why would anyone want to know the ugly sides of her? if she can just be nice and make everyone happy all the time, maybe people will like her! but her false positive attitude is so obvious to the others that it makes her come off as awkward at best, and an easy target for bullying at worst. I think her past "friends" were probably fake too, and kept her around because she was agreeable and a doormat. ragatha doesn't know what it's like to have an authentic friendship and her anxiety leads her to self sabotage things.
Pomni
- probably the most emotionally grounded one besides sane kinger. definitely introverted, definitely autistic. Reminds me of the social outcast kid who people think is weird but she just doesn't really pick up on social cues and likes keeping to herself. she's got a good heart and she doesn't let people walk all over her. I don't think she sees things as "good/bad" or "black/white", she just tries to see the humanity in everyone.
