How do you deal with toxic, manipulative family who gaslight you in situations to make you doubt your sanity. Family who try to make you out to be the bad awful person because you stand up for your rights and won't allow them to bring you down. A mother who blames you for her marriage breaking up,knowing good well that her husband was mentally and emotionally abusive. A sister who manipulates your mum and plays victim, instead taking responsibility for the major part she plays.
There is a lot to unpack here and that is for sure.
First, I will look at this through the lens of your eyes. I see conflict. That much is obvious. I see mistrust. I see competition. I see a young person who wishes for freedom but is not yet ready to strike out on their own.
I see harsh words spoken in anger. Hurt feelings and deep festering resentments simmering just under the surface. Maybe even minor domestic violence, slapping or the threat of it.
Sister sees you as the manipulative one. Mum sees you both as disrespectful.
You want words from me to cure this dysfunctional family dynamic? I canβt do that. I have no such wisdom. I wish I did. I can only advise you on how to perhaps adjust your own actions, your karma, karma means action after all. People think karma means what happens to you after you act but that is karmaphala. Karma is what YOU DO.
In this case you can break the cycle. You can stop reacting. You can stop playing the game. You can stop dancing the dance. You can stop dancing on the same string like a marionette every time your family starts down the same old path.
