â n-no, please! â  coco canât bear it. she tries to grab the palm quire by force, reaching with all her might, but sheâs not nearly quick enough. she watches in horror as its cover is flipped aside, pages free to flit through. his reaction to their contents, however, brings her to pause.
â not any youâve seen before..? â  she blinks a few times, trying to process the implications of that. the spells in that quire, theyâre nothing advanced. in fact, theyâre relatively simple. sheâs only confident enough to draw spells that came straight out of the primer ( with the occasional deviation ) so how could he not recognize them?
she relents, retreating hands that were eager to snatch the book out of his hands mere moments ago. itâs only in the interest of getting some clarification though. was he a witch? but what kind of witch is unable to recognize even the most basic of spells?
â âŚwhat do you mean? â
Cheânya tilts his head, this time to the other side, and peers at the girl over the top of the notebook.Â
âWhatever do you mean, what do you mean~?â he hums as he flips another page. âI mean what I said - I have not seen these spells before. Of course, most spells I know are performed by a simple incantation. These, are you meant to draw them? I know of spells like that, but they arenât anything I know~ Nyaha, well, purrhaps they have taught us such spells, but I might have slept through that lesson~! Nyahaha~â
He snickers, amused with himself, then finally holds the book out to her. âSo long as you take good care of these spells, I suppose I can hand them back to you~ Theyâre quite useless to me, after all! It seems I havenât retained much magic in this world - how boring~â
He sighs in an exaggerated fashion, ears drooping. âWhy, I canât even muster up a simple levitation spell on myself. Iâm not so used to using my own two feet to walk, but I make do~â
