Recent studies have shown that the average person is shown over 1,700 banner ads a month, yet only view half of them. However, filtering out the uninterested parties leaves behind a 31% lift in brand, so, when aimed at the right target, an advertisement may produce a larger effect than the initial advertisement, as well as trigger a broader area of effect.

With a 1 in 1000 chance at receiving a click, the odds are skewed against me. At most, I should expect NINE clicks, depending on the THREE ASSUMED CLICKS I will already receive ( represented herein by reblogging, not following ) 

Using targetting and behavioral data, however, I’ve increased my chances at finding the right match. My sample targets, in this case the tags I have used, match to characteristics of interested consumers, those that align in the CRIMINAL MINDS fandom, as well as those who ROLEPLAY it, and, even further, those that seem to like me– SPENCER REID. I’ve also targeted INDEPENDENT roleplayers, as well as those who work on a MUTUAL basis. As my 4% out-reach range, I’ve also added in the CRIME roleplayers, as well as the TV SHOW roleplayers.

Now we await the data; interpret, and adjust to fit the demographic.
