while other cops try to investigate the case, and ask neighbors about what had happened, dick stays with the kid. she can't stop crying, and after a moment of stress, something special happens, and that's when he realizes that the kid is no human. she seems to be able to use magic, but of course, she can't control it.

So one day he asks her to enchant some post-it's with his voice. Everything he writes there will be said by his voice whenever she touches them. She found the request a bit strange, but did it anyway. Then he forgot about them, because time passes and she never heard about it again.

It was one night where she was lying on the couch, and feeling exhausted emotionally. Her first thought was to see Dick, but he was out of the country with more heroes in a mission, so that was impossible.

She sighed, and shifted in a more comfortable position, and that's when she saw it. There was a post-it in a very specific corner of her bookshelf. Without thinking about it, she reached out to grab it, but was only able to barely touch it with a finger, and then-- she heard him.

"You've gone through so much, but remember you're not alone anymore."

It's a kid. A child that looks so familiar to her, but at the same time she doesn't know them at all.

He didn't know what was exactly, but sometimes he'd just blink and be somewhere else, or things wouldn't be able to touch him.

Eventually everyone noticed and they asked what was going on. Maybe a god blessed him, a guardian angel was protecting him, or he might be under a protective spell...

One late night, while both were in the tub (a bubble bath with candles) relaxing, he asked Zatanna if she had done something to him. Maybe a spell in cases where it was obvious he would die, but she said that she only thought about it, but didn't do anything, afraid he wouldn't like something like that (magic interfering in his world).

He explained to her what had happened, not once nor twice, but a few times, and how it was confusing because while he was grateful, he wasn't sure how or when things like that would happen or where he would appear again. And as he spoke, Zatanna looked away, as if she were looking at something that Dick couldn't.

"Is... everything okay?" he stared at her, a hand placing softly on her stomach.

Then he saw her smiling.

Good, it wasn't a bad thing.

"I know what's going on." Zatanna looked up at him. "Remember that I once told you I could see the darklings? Well, seems that they've been watching over you."

"Oh. Well. . . Thanks, I guess. That has been very helpful."

"They really like you," she hummed.

"I like them too, but not as much as I like you." He leaned down to kiss the top of her head. "Thank you."

The Chalant one comes from a TV animated series, right? Which I've never watched because I only read comics.

The second one, you just made it up.

Dick loves Zatanna and finds her mesmerizing. She is funny, caring, full of surprises and magical. In every way. Her problems are mostly related to the supernatural and while it's dangerous and strange, it's also something new and exciting for Dick.

"Wow. I'm so lucky." Says one of them to the other. Because honestly, aren't they lucky? To date someone as magnificent as Zatanna, to date someone as wonderful as Dick.

When they kiss, they spend hours on it. It's funny and kind of ridiculous but they can't help it. It's like a strange human-addiction. Kissing the other feels so good. Their lips end up swollen and tingly but their lips are always so soft, so addicting.

It starts as something without much importance. When they finished talking about their day or about something that just happened, and they are too close to each other. It happens natural, just a peck on the lips, but then the other feels those soft lips need more kissing.

"Wait— just one more."

It turns into deep, passionate kisses. Sometimes they get interrupted and their faces are blushing, their lips are a red shade and swollen, and they seem like it's a bit hard to grab hold of reality. Some other times it ends up in a long session of passionate sex, because they just can't get enough of each other. They can't just end it so abruptly when they worship the body of the other so much.
