Cinnabar could tell that Yellow wanted to gloss over what just happened, but Cin almost didn’t want to let it go.

She barely felt the shock at all, and it didn’t even hurt the slightest bit. She didn’t really get what the big deal was about, but she imagined it was because Yellow thought she had hurt the fiery gem. So she said as much.

“Oh! Well, don’t worry, you didn’t hurt me,” she says, showing her newly freed hand as to prove she was fine. It was genuine. Yellow still seemed like she wanted to skip over the topic, so she decided to let it go for now. She didn’t want the yellow gem to end up spiraling.

Cinna had expected the tension to release from the electric gem, but instead it seemed to wind tighter. That was a peculiar reaction. Was Yellow so tense that it caused a shock to happen spontaneously?

That made enough sense to Cinnabar, she always tended to heat up when she was upset.

She appreciated Yellow’s lenience though, as she seemed to be making an effort to understand.

As they walked up the path and into the beach house, Cinnabar exhaled a relaxed breath. She released the tension in her shoulders and went right to the temple door to open it. It glowed for a moment before revealing a thick iron door with a small window on the upper half. The window had thick bars of metal barring anyone from entry. It was militant shade of worn out green and the moment Cinnabar opened the door to her barracks, a bit of warm air rushed out, breezing past their faces. It was a pleasant, warm air, like that of a space heater.

I didn't hurt you yet, Yellow thought, but of course did not say so. Not just because she wanted to move past the topic, but also because thinking about it just reminded her of the times when she had hurt others before. Now for some she did not feel bad, gems that had made her mad, that had it coming those she did not feel bad for. On the contrary, the Pearl somewhat enjoyed her powers in those cases, turning the table on bigger and stronger gems. Seeing them recoil from her, seeing them be scared of her.

But there were others, gems that shouldn't be scared of her, that she didn't want to be scared of her. Cinnabar was one of those, and while Yellow knew the other could handle herself, she still didn't want to harm her. Especially knowing about the other's rocky history with her Diamond and what happened to her powers.

Shaking her head as they walked along, pushing all those thoughts to the side. Something the pale gem often did, pushing feelings and thoughts she did not want to deal with or didn't know how to deal with to the side. Hoping they would either go away or she'd find a solution to the problem she was having before anything happened.

Her eyes darted around the beach house as they walked through, being hypervigilant even though there was no reason to be so. Deciding to just focus on Cinnabar the walk to the temple door not being long now anyway. Yellow had seen the door change before, having been to CG Pearl's room before. She did take note of how it changed, being a bit surprised by what she saw.

Part of her had expected Cinna's door and room to be less connected to her past. Yet both the door and the room she then stepped into clearly had a militaristic flair to it. Not that she judged her for it or that it was anything bad, just not really what she had expected. The door vanishing behind her really didn't help Yellow's nerves but again she tried to push all that to the side.
