Hau is the long reed grass grown in this wet field. This is the grass that is cut, dried and dyed, and for used for Thundu Kunaa weaving in Huvadhu atoll. Fiyori women are the prime farmers of hau grass. The dried hau is carried to Gadhdhoo, where they weave it into a thundu kunaa.
