         “Oh, I can TOTALLY see you in that style– you know, you’d look           absolutely STUNNING in black lipstick,” she muses before peering           at the pictures being shown to her.  “Oh, I adore that– and, of course           yours is better, you’re a MILTON.  You’re better by default, just like           a Callahan.”

          “ black lipstick? how very avant garde of you! ”           zelda laughed, flipping through the fashion mag.           she always carried a few wherever she went,           just in case there was an EMERGENCY.

          “ HMMM, i like to think i have a LITTLE skill of my           own. besides, my makeup line is WAY better than           my mother’s. she’s incapable of subtlety. ”

          “Honestly, you look pretty tough all around– but the ponytail            is a nice touch,” she gives a small smile to the taller, trying            her best to be NICE to one of her very few friends.

          “ AW, thanks! i have the HUGEST photoshoot coming up,           and the latest trend is lots of black and lots of studs and           chains. i have to look CONVINCING. wait, i have pics. ”

          she reached into her sporty-yet-stylish messenger bag           before pulling out a few magazines, flipping through and           showing brittany some examples. “ like, see that jacket? i           have one JUST like it in my collection - but mine’s better. ”

          “ oh, you’re courtney! i watched, like, MOST of           your seasons, kinda... you were totally BITCHIN’,           though! all, like, take no prisoners and stuff. ”

          zelda played with her hair, pulling it up and down while           making pouty faces into her phone’s camera. “ hey, do           you think this ponytail makes me look tough? it makes           me FEEL tough, but i don’t KNOW... ”
