I don’t know why I’m doing this, but I just have some opinions on this album.

I really like how Aaron possesses a very diverse musical catalogue at his concerts. Everything from boybands to classical music to folk to, of course, musical theatre. I love when artists keep it diverse. Some genres he excels in better than others, but keep singing everything, Tveit! His banter in between is hilarious too, and I like that he’s not trying too hard with it. He’s being genuine and I love that he’s awkward. It just shows the fact that he, weirdly, like the rest of us, is human. And I appreciate that more than an almost robotic type talk in between songs. It’s his first cabaret show. And he also kept some flubs in. Not the lyrics one in ICBILWSLY, but the person clapping at the wrong time in What You’d Call A Dream for example. That’s what makes it live.

I love Aaron’s voice. He just has such a warm, almost delicate tone to his voice with such perfect diction. I could go on and on raving about that guy’s vocal chords. That being said. This sound editing is shit. Mixing or whatever it’s called. The sound. Mic quality thingy. I am so professional as you can hear. But it just destroys his voice. It sounds metallic and overproduced. If it weren’t for that I would listen to this album all the time, but that just makes it almost unlistenable for me.

Really liked his song choices on this and I wish he’d bring them back. Like ’Hero and Leander’, especially the medley between that and There’s A World. And ’What You’d Call A Dream’. That’s more for a younger singer though. As he said, he performed it at his freshman showoff.

From me, an unprofessional who just wanted to express her thoughts on this album, The Radio In My Head gets a 8/10.
