Bendy actually hisses in protest. No, it wasn’t fine. His boyfriend got cracked and he wasn’t there to protect him. Nonetheless, he shrunk himself down and put away his weapons, muttering angrily to himself for a while. He remained curled around Cuphead, nuzzling against him wordlessly.

Maybe it wasn’t fine, but Cuphead was still adamantly confident in his ability to stick up for himself. Or, if he couldn’t then he’d gotten in worse scrapes than a punch to the face.
