I've been sewing and creating stuff all month.
vgen's challenge this month is bees. i love bees! i've actually wanted to draw bees baking bread for awhile since bee bread is a real thing. so this challenge was the perfect reason to do so.

Drew the main 3 vamp bois to celebrate the conclusion of transfusions!! Actually drew the sketch last year in July. It's been on the back burner for awhile. Majority of the art was done on the surface pro 3, besides the blood pattern for the bg & minor refinements. I did those on my pc with the xpen.

tranfusions anniversary is today (July 29). I'm so happy to see the conclusions of one of my first webcomics. I've been following the comics since it's smackjeeves era. Tranfusions has been apart of my life for so long, it's bittersweet to make it to the end. Thanks @kindlyanni for writing such a wonderful story!
I have another transfusions piece in the works but i didn't want to rush it to get it out today.

I recently announced i will be leaving instagram soon probably in a month or so. And i also announced my new website. It's still very in the works, starting putting together the gallery. It'll take a while tbh. Once that's up and running, i will probably change how i interact with sm as an artist. i've cut back on how much i use sm and want it to stay that way. I wrote a longer blog post about this on my bear blog.
I've always wanted to make my own site and now that I'm doing it, I'll probably end up making that my main hub for art.
bumpkin was my first crochet bee i got in 2021. I painted him larger than he is irl, he's a little 8 inch baby. this is my first time using gouache paint. i actually had a test/scrap painting to figure out how the paint works and if i could draw on top, etc.

pillowfort
Deleted it because its been like what? 2 years with no updates or posts, it's just been sitting empty. Never had motivation to re-upload everything onto it. then pillowfort's always on the brink of not having enough funding which didn't help my motivation. In general, i just don't have the willpower to learn anymore social media sites, or up-keep more than i already have. TBH i'd rather put the work into creating my own site than shuffling off to a another social media.
The past year i've really stepped away from SM, even outside of art. spent more of my time elsewhere. It's nice not being absorbed in it all the time. Social media can be a real time sink. I'd rather cut away from it than add more to the list.
