for someone who went through law school, matt murdock has a surprisingly low amount of brain cells
{I am so sorry for my lack of activity. I swear, Iâm still around most of the time, though my app doesnât work properly on my phone. Iâm just SO invested in my own story that Iâm writing that Iâm not in the right mind for rping. This is for the few people that actually rp with me. If I would pull through June as I did throughout April, I could even see myself finish my ânovelâ at the end of the next month. That would be a dream, and I could focus on Matt again. The Camp Nano made me focus extremely on this one character and I need to get this crap out of my mind. Also Iâm applying for a year abroad in the US so thatâs the other thing consuming my time. Plus my full time job. So.. yeah. Iâm sorry for not being around for so long already.}
Iâm crying.
Oh, Charlie. So precious!

âBe careful with the Murdock boys. They got the devil in âem.â Matt Murdock - Netflixâs Daredevil
There is MORE to this world, Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â than what you can SEE
This is my life and I made something of it, without you. Thatâs the part that really pisses you off, isnât it?
the-storm-within-meâ:
After his unusual proposition, the cab drive was long and quiet. Nika mulled over the idea of staying with him, the pros and cons, remembering the first, inadvertently shared night there that caused her slight discomfort. They were strangers and had fought on the two different sides of the law, jumbled together by fate and ridiculous circumstances. She´d helped him and in return, he´d helped her but did that justify moving in there? Nika´s thoughts turned in her head. It wasn´t right, still, where else could she go, stripped of any money or opportunity to fall back on? For now, she´d just follow him back to his place and consider further. She´d check out the place once more, maybe talk with Matt some more and then, decide.Â
Inside his apartment, Nika moved tentatively. Now in broad daylight she took everything in, the minimalistic interior, the brash neon sign by the window, the generous grey on his walls. While he washed the blood off his hands she walked in deeper, now noticing the crumpled blanket on the couch he´d used the night before, a faint smile appearing on her features. âNo, they probably won´t,â she agreed, turning to him and wondering if he needed some patching up with those battered hands. âAnd I will be honest, I got no place to stay unless I can scrape up some cash, somehow⌠which I wouldnât know how, since everyone I know either lives by that apartment of mine or on another continent.â She´d burnt all bridges to her former work colleagues as well so in fact, landlady and a few neighbours aside, Nika was alone. âThe thing is, we don´t know how long´s that gonna take. Could be days, could be months. You really want me to stay that long? They are a well organised team with spies all across the city. What if, God forbid, they sniffed me out here? Am I supposed to stay inside, all da long?â Nika sighed as her shoulders slouched, then she slowly set into motion to walk over to him, carefully taking one of his hands into hers. âYou need any help with that?â It might have been wrong to touch someone without their explicit permission but somehow, what she´d done for him had formed a bond between them. At least that was how Nika felt about it.
Matt looked up and in her general direction, the look on his face dark and unreadable. âNot like you have any other choice,â he pointed out. The longer it would take him to get these guys off the streets of New York, the more dangerous would her life become anywhere. If they came to his place, however, heâd at least save some time looking for them - not that he actually wanted them to know where he lived. âIf they have their people all across the city, it shouldnât matter where you stay. Youâre a fair game now.â He shrugged. When he thought heâd rinsed all blood from his hands, he turned the tap off and dried his hands on a dish towel.
He blinked as he felt her approach and cocked his head ever so slightly, curiously waiting for what she was about to do. Nika reached for his hand and took it in hers gently. âYeah,â he mouth quietly to her question, lowering his empty eyes down on their hands. It wasnât like he needed her help, but he welcomed it.
With the first aid kid still lying at the couch, they went over to it, and while Nika was looking for antiseptics and cotton pads, Matt sat back on the couch carefully. Now that they were home and save, he could pay little more attention to his injuries, despite Nikaâs help of numbing his pain. No need to make it worse than it already was. âThe police is probably gonna look for you now,â he mused out loud, concern written all over his face. âPossible that they think youâre in danger.â Matt didnât flinch when Nika started cleaning his bruised knuckles with the disinfection solution. He hold his hands out for her, not complaining once.Â
strcngerthanilookâ:
âNoâŚâ It couldnât be true. But it was getting even harder to grasp the situation. Daredevil insists he was safe. They had to leave. There were no monsters. It all comes too fast for Peter to keep up, regardless of how fast or slow it was occurring in reality. He was lost.
In the fear, the adrenaline and the confusion, when the masked man lets go of Peterâs arm, all the boy does is sit where he was left. Wavering and shaking, but making no move to attack or run.
Lost.
He swallows, looking to the strangerâs vaguely morphing face when he approaches again. Peterâs eyes squeeze shut. He only tries to keep up now. Everything in his senses still registered as danger. Monsters, lies, everywhere. The line between reality and fantasy was nearly non-existent. Between truth and lies only felt blurry. After all, he was already at the manâs mercy right where he was. It takes him far longer than it should to come to the realization, but in the end there was no point in all the shouting and running if Daredevil wanted to do him harm. Right here was as good as anywhere. So what reason would he have to lie?
With a deep breath, Peter nods, and hesitantly reaches out. They had to leave before the police showed up. Police meant questions at best. Assumptions. Confusion. People pulling at his mask. The others - should they truly be people at all - wouldnât know either. Theyâd only remember Spider-Man fighting them.
The weight of it all presses down on his back, making already shaky legs wobble as he rises with boney fingers gripping Daredevilâs suit for help.
Matt rolled his eyes under his mask, slightly annoyed by Spider-Mans short answer, and pulled an arm around his shoulders and under his arm to carry his weight. The boy grabbed his suit, not seeming able to walk all the way up that building. âAt least try to make yourself useful,â Matt muttered in a low voice as he supported Spider-Man out of that bad smelling room. With the boys weight pressing on his shoulders, he found himself panting half the way up the staircase but reached the top of the building before the police arrived at the scene.
The door to the roof top fell shut and finally they were able to have somewhat of a short break to recover from the effort to climb the stairs in their current condition.Â
Maybe fresh air would do good to Spider-Manâs senses. Matt didnât know this guy, but he could tell very clearly that he was acting odd. âWe canât stay here forever,â he spoke rather softly as he walked to the edge of the roof, listening to the sounds of police officers and paramedics doing their job. âOnce they realize youâre gone, they will come looking for you up here.â He turned around, hands on his hips and looking in Spider-Manâs general direction. âAre you able to climb down the building?â If not, they had a problem. Heâd been cooperative enough to be helped to the roof, but Matt couldât help him down the building or help him leap from roof to roof, like he used to, to escape any kind of dangerous situation. âOr jump, I donât really care either way. We just need to leave before they get us.â

Choices We Make
little-earthquakes-rpâ:
There was this shy and nervous energy about the man which caused her to lay down her defenses. He wasnât the typical patron which tried to ply her with insincere compliments hoping to end the night with a companion and a bed partner. She couldnât help but feel a sensitive nature from the man, and although the small voice in the back of head reminded her she wasnât always correctâit didnât change how she felt. At the mention of beating up her boss, she grinned wide, âYouâll have to do no such thing. Iâm available Wednesday and Thursday. Itâs technically my weekend.â Letting her eyes drift down to his beer she tried to assess if another one was needed.Â
With a flip of her hair, she teased, âBesides you donât want to threaten my boss too loudly. Heâs pretty darn connected and it could turn ugly fast.â While she wasnât privy to most of what was going on she knew the man was knee deep in illegal activities and had little doubt the club existed partly to launder money while carrying on illicit gambling. Lennon knew better than to ask her boss outright and they were assumptions only. One thing she couldnât complain about was how well he paid when measured against everyone else in the district.Â
Turning she grabbed a new beer from the fridge at popped the lid. Granted, he wasnât quite done with the first one. He deserved a fresh one. Sliding the cold beer down against the bar top she rested her hands on her hips as she challenged, âSo what shall we do on our little outing?â Lennon was tickled to have a break from the mundane and happy to indulge a bit in more fanciful thoughts.Â
âAre you trying to fill me up?â He asked jokingly as she slid another fresh beer down to him. He stopped it by circling his fingers around the cold bottle. It was refreshing how easy it was to chat- flirt- with her, and saying he didnât enjoy it would be a lie. Her company really was calming, but she also drove his focus away from the important things that made him come there in the first place. He reminded himself to pay attention to the business going on in the backroom, but more often than not, he was simply smiling shyly at the woman at the bar, listening to the pleasant sound of her voice.Â
âAll right, though. No going against your boss. Lucky man.â He winked at Lennon in the hope that he didnât fail due to his sightless eyes. She was direct and straight forward, not wasting any time.Matt usually liked that about woman, but in this case it just complicated everything. Turning her down, now, wasnât an option he actually considered.Â
He drowned a sigh with a deep gulp of his beer, as if he needed to give himself liquid courage to make suggestions for a first date. Things were going a little too quick, and there was no way to stop it.Â
Well, there was. But he still didnât want to be rude- besides, he liked her and the way her energy seemed to affect him and his mood. She seemed cheerful and easy, and really sociable- something he wasnât. âUhm... how about some nice dinner?â He asked her, thought he wasnât big on fancy restaurants and expensive dishes. A movie was pointless and coffee more for his lunch break. âUnless you, uh, want to do something else?â
[Sorry for my looong absence. Iâm still around most of the time, but Iâm either too busy or too tired lately to do anything here. And Iâm too lazy to reblog stuff. So although my activity is none existent, Iâm still here. I hope Iâm gonna have energy to write on Sunday! Also Iâm a bit self-conscious about my language again, so there is that. Reading your replies I always feel like I canât match that in quality and those thoughts are really tiring. Iâm gonna attack my drafts on Sunday anyway though. I just feel like I need to do better and I donât know how.]
