I think I'm going to take a little break from writing. I haven't been in the right headspace for a while, and with this heat of the last week, I've been drained. Shit happened, some more stuff outside my control happened and ... it's taken its toll. No worries, my thoughts aren't turning dark, just ... done with everything. I just ... need a recharge, and this heat isn't helping. (I really dislike summer ... or sumer-like weather)

Two days ago, my brother and his wife took in a rescue cat and I got to meet him the other day. Big, chunky orange unit of a cat named Big Bruno... who is all cuddles and headbuts and making biscuits and purring like a dang engine. Just a big fluffball of love. Hid under the closet for a minute before dashing towards me to share some love.

I'm tired. I'm done. I'm spent. social battery, work battery, bike battery ... all depleted. For some reason, this whole week - and we're only Tuesday yet! - has been nothing but taxing! I still have Wednesday to work, and then it's a long, long weekend!
