I helped my sister's friend pick out and purchase makeup for the first time, after which we picked out several lovely outfits, including her very first ever skirt.

With my guidance, this friend put makeup on, and I mean a full face, concealer and all. It was amazing. And I have half of one eye done up that proves it!

God, the sheer excitement, just because of some concealer and a bit of contouring, because we hadn't reached the foundation and powder stages, that was magic. Once the makeup was completed and my sister's friend had jumped into a maxi skirt and frilly top for a well deserved fashion show, the joy was tangible.

I was a part of that moment and I could not feel any more awed by Marco's courage and sincerity then I did when she struck her first fashion show pose in her first ever skirt wearing her first ever lipstain and mascara.
