Iโm unreasonably scared of the Dragons NOT knowing each other in Kingdom.
Either the Devs just REALLY want to avoid talking about them before they absolutely have to, or Pitaya straight up has no idea there are other dragons at all. It seems ridiculous that there are so many instances in which Pitaya could have mentioned or at least nudged at their existence and they didnโt (It could also be that Taya just dislikes them THAT much?). They seem soโฆdisconnected.
I feel like not making them at the very least having met eachother before would be such a horrible writing decision. Not only would it basically erase their long-term rivalry dynamic which is one of the most compelling parts of the Dragons as a group, but it would also make close to no narrative sense. We donโt know what direction theyโre going with Longan yet, but in Ovenbreak they had a genuine wish of living in a perfect world with the kin that they spent so much time with (as cruel as that makes them). If thatโs ignored it would still kinda work, though their manipulation wouldnโt feel as raw.
Thereโs also that the July Update is probably about Hollyberry going to Ananas to help save Pitaya. Ananas is very arrogant, territorial and prideful, enough so that the Kingdom team aknowledged it in the livestream! Even now I find it difficult that Ananas will help Holly so easily. If they didnโt know Pitaya, WHY would they go out of their Island to help a Cookie save a dragon they donโt even know or care about? It wouldnโt be in character for them at all.
The Dragons and their relationship are very dear to me and Iโm honestly terrified of CRK screwing that up for the Kingdom-only players that will just meet them. Even with everything Iโve mentioned we all know the writers really donโt care about pre-established lore. We saw what happened to Millenial Tree, Sugar Swan and The Elementals in general. Still, we can only wait and seeโฆ</3
