Indifference toward personal wrongs tends to make others forget that Hanar's a dragon down to the core. It's hard to be angry at physical harm with such powerful regeneration, hard to be angry at disrespect when it's been more convenient to forget about Hanar.

But forgetting doesn't change a dragon's nature.

Day's gotten bold since that union, bolder still after Hanar became Barbatos' proxy. He might not be that highly ranked, but he's loved almost as much as Barbatos is. At each provocation, each utterance of that name instead of the right one, Hanar only smiled and deflected again and again.

How big is Caelius' dragon form? ...horse-sized. Not pony-sized [anymore] or draft horse-sized [yet] but just horse-sized. It's easier and expected for young salamanders to wander because they're small! If you're going to wander in a world that wants dragons dead, it's easier to wander when you're significantly smaller than what the hunters look for.

it worked fine... for the first century. after that, he kept pouring more and more of his divinity into them until another hundred years later, the eyes staring back at him weren't theirs.

in another time, tenebris could have taken the time to know the person -- the angel -- piloting astarte's body. but in that time, all he could do was seal them away. if he didn't... other gods would have sought out dragons, not to kill, but to control.
