Change is hard to deal with. Doubly so when you're already dealing with being demoted and fuckin ptsd. Daisukes appearance is a Huge change to Harus life and it probably made him feel less in-control, which in turn made him more panicked and then more angry

I think Haru's big focus on "justice" stems from the fact that he did something he considers unjust. If he does his best to give justice, maybe he can redeem himself...?

Now, talking about the depression from PTSD—

He always has bags under his eyes. not enough sleep, perhaps due to nightmares or insomnia or just getting too caught up in his regrets

He can go days without caring for his hygiene (a common thing with depression, it sucks)

He has thrown himself into his work because he doesn't have anything else to distract himself with. The excessive workload can keep his mind off of the guilt he feels

Hes also always jumping at the bit to try and get a taste of the action he used to be involved in. (Un)Luckily, Daisuke is a trouble magnet

(side note, i always used to say adrenaline was a hell of an antidepressant—Haru mightve found that out and thats a reason he goes towards the dangerous situations)

He consistently wears one shabby jacket which is probably a comfort item to him
