Detective Agatha (DetCo Swap AU)

A role-swap alternative universe of Detective Conan.

It reimaginates Gosho Aoyama's Detective Conan series by switching almost every character's role while keeping some of their personalities and creating new ideas for them.

STORY:

It follows Mouri Ran, a high-school student detective and a big fan of both mystery stories and Wild West stuff, who get into trouble with women in black at Tropical Land alley when going with her childhood friend, Kudo Shinichi. As she get knocked out and shrunken by a weird drug given by a suspicious lady, making her have the body of a child. So now she has to hide her identity with the help of her scientist father, Mouri Kogoro, by turning herself into "Agatha Rampo". She decides to live in Shinichi's house and try to improve Agasa's Detective Agency reputation, to find the Black Organization, take them down and turn herself back to normal.

I'd love to see this AU be told as a writing form, basically retelling the whole DetCo series with swapped roles

but unfortunately I don't really have time to write a full-on fanfic on Detective Agatha, and I would have to dedicate myself into working on rewrite the whole series with swapped roles and that would be too much for a task for me

I started this AU project as a concept, to see what roles I can swap from Conan, design their characters and change them but keeping their personalities, obviously I also drew some extra art of it and will continue in the future

maybe an one-shot based on a scene of the series, probably as a redraw frames from the anime, who knows

however, i'm letting Detective Agatha AU be a "community-shared" one for now, as I would love to see people creating fanworks based on the AU (can be fanart, fanfic, etc) and I still need to create a whole doc detailing character profiles from the AU haha

I introduce you all my newest AU, Detective Hiromitsu!

After reflecting on my Detective Agatha AU, I realize that Ran is not a good fit for Shinichi/Conan role, so I decided to swap her with Hiromitsu Morofushi, my favorite character :D

Instead of Hiro getting shot by himself, he get drugged by the BO and turned into a child. So now he relies on his best friend Rei to help him come back to normal.

From now on, he's known as... Hiromitsu Edogawa. Such a creative name!

Despite being in a body of a child, his brain is still of a great detective. He solves murder cases by making Yamamura famous through "Dancing Yamamura", where Hiro shoots his dancing dart with his watch gadget to make him dance, so he can tell his deduction as him.

Yes, the movies will be reimagined in the AU, even if it's as non-canon as the original DetCo movies.

To start off, I'm setting a poll for uncoming Gin design in the AU and I wonder what hair color do you guys want to see on him. It's only until 3 days to see the results.

MIWAKO SATO

(She takes the Takagi's role)

She's the police sargent and detective from Tokyo Metropolitan Police District's Criminal Investigation First Division.

She tries to be cool around the officers by imitating her lost love interest Matsuda Jinpei (however his death will play different in the AU) to honor his legacy. She doesn't really participate in any hot topic being flowing around the headquarters, only missions and cases as it's part of her job.

She's still quite competent and a nice person, being skilled in action and good at disguises, and also trusts Agatha in some occasions (similar to how Takagi trusts Conan as well).

She get adviced to get a boyfriend before she turns 30 years old, especially by her father (he's alive and her mom dead in this AU). She didn't get interested on Takagi at first, despite him being popular around the police women at headquarters, leading to police men being envy at Takagi (and only in Takagi, he can't even get a break here). However with time, they'd eventually get along with some cases and would end up being interested romantically.

She does take orders from him however, as he's the assistant inspector here.

Unlike the original counterpart, she's not really too popular by police men due to her "too cool to care" attitude and she's simply not interested in any of them.

MAKOTO KYOGOKU

(He takes the role of Sonoko)

Instead of going around the world as a captain of his Karate Club team, he's a student of Teitan High School yet member of the Karate Club as the same as Ran.

He's also Shinichi's best childhood friend, who's just bromance similar to Shinichi and Heiji at the original. They'd talk about their each other interests, sometimes romance as Shinichi is into Ran teaching how to make his move.

FRENCH 75

(She takes the Gin's role)

Basically the lady in black (The Silver Fox) from Haibara debut case is repurposed as the Black Organization chief administrator. She has a pretty cool design, so why not?

She's the operator of the missions alongside Bloody Mary and White Lady, who's the cold murderer holding two blades at her hands. If someone betrays the BO or if she got a job to take care of, she wouldn't be so kind to let anyone go.

BLOODY MARY & WHITE LADY

(They take the Vodka's role)

Both sisters are Black Organization managerial secretaries, working for the BO chief administrator, French 75 (The Silver Fox from Missing Older Brother Case).

Their past are as unknown as original Gin. But they both go in missions alongside French 75 to fullfill their operations.
