Thalassian Heritage: Being of elven descent, Erandil once freely roamed the forests of Eversong alongside his kin before the corruption of undeath plagued their lands. He was one of the many sent to the city of Dalaran in an effort to educate humans of the pros and cons of magic. Because of this, he was not present for the invasion of the Scourge, and his time away from the homeland meant he was quite used to being away from the strong source of magic. There are those among both the Sin’dorei and the Ren’dorei who may be familiar with his name. 

The Floating City: He spends most of his days within Dalaran. He teaches young mages the ways of the spellblade as well as working within the school of Divination. While other Quel’dorei have bound themselves to the loyalties of the Alliance, Erandil remains a part of the Kirin Tor, and whatever that may entail.
