Auryx has learned a lesson about the nature of existence.

After betraying the Sword Logic by offering to parley on neutral grounds with the Ammonites, Savathun betrayed him, killing Auryx and destroying the Ammonite negotiators.

Auryx, however, survives this, despite his material body being destroyed. He has created a Throne World, a dimension outside of our own that can allow Auryx to survive indefinitely, as long as he does not die within the Throne World.

After Auryx is revived, the Hive continue to crush the Ammonites before Chroma- Admiral Rafriit, a legendary Ammonite admiral, moves to protect his holy Leviathan while offering the Hive the choice to join the Ammonites under the Traveler and the Light. The Worms, however, remind the Hive of all they have done for them, and that the Traveler was the entity that caused the God- Wave that destroyed their home. 

The Hive obey the Worms, and slay the Leviathan, allowing Eir and Yul to devour its corpse. The Ammonites have fallen, yet Taox has hidden herself once more and the Traveler has fled. The Hive are finally ready to listen to the call of the Deep, submitting to the Worms to be their Crusaders against the Sky.

Xivu Arath emerges victorious from the slaughter, and Auryx’s new form and power is beginning to mend and break the mere laws of reality. The Worm Gods have used their new found power to tear a hole at Kaharn and will use Savathun’s cutters to fly through the wound and into orbit to begin inhabiting Fundament’s moons.

The Hive escape Fundament and into orbit, only for them to find new and incredibly advanced star faring species on the moons. One of these species, dubbed the Ammonites, has taken Taox in for asylum and so have incited the anger of the Hive. The Worm Gods, however, have detected an unusual 53rd moon in the orbit, a sort of divine presence of the Sky that is the ultimate cause of the syzygy. A Traveler.

The Hive go to war with the Ammonites, yet are pushed back to the sixth moon of Fundament by Chroma- Admiral Rafriit due to Auryx’s catatonia and desire for peace. Peace, however, is not the way of the Universe, and since Xivu Arath is unable to defeat the Ammonites in battle he must breed his armies once more and disperse them across the moons in secret.

The three sisters have now eaten from the Worm Gods, and have finally become immortal. The Worms offer each sister a new form once they have reached adulthood, and subsequently a new name.

Aurash is to become Auryx once she takes on the King morph

Sathona is to become Savathun once she takes on the Mother morph

Xi Ro is to become Xivu Arath once she takes on the Knight morph

The Worms then give their instruction;

The Worms tell Aurash to spread the news of the Worm gods and offer every living thing on Fundament the larvae. If any reject the opportunity, they are to be made an example of and killed. They are all going to die in the God- Wave anyways, there is no point in saving what cannot be saved.

The Worms tell Savathun that the Leviathan has kept the Worm God there for millions of years for the Sky, and that the Sky seeds civilizations based on the lie that good deeds can one day lead to the end of suffering. This, however, is the opposite of reality. as the Universe is built upon competition and scarcity, and that the war between the Sky and the Deep will one day consume all of Fundament. Because of this, Savathun is to search through the technologies of Fundament’s 511 species, and find one that has the capabilities to leave the wretched planet.

The Worms tell Xivu Arath that the God- Wave has passed, and will reach the three in two years. Taox and her Refusalists knwon to be fleeing to a place called Kaharn Atoll, which is presumably a metropolis that houses members of many, if not, all of the species of Fundament, in order to rally the species of Fundament against the Osmium Court. Since the agents of the Leviathan have been preventing the Worm Gods from building ships, Xivu Arath must go to Kaharn and slaughter everyone there. The collective amount of destruction will grant the Worm Gods the logic they require to tear a hole in reality itself and migrate to orbit.
