A mostly comical, semi-serious companion blog to @peacebranded dedicated to an alternative view of Anthea from the Pokemon series of games.
Much like touyatiredforthis, will crack wise.
Unrelated to anime canon.
Name: Anthea Verbena Pandemos Harmonia
In stark contrast to her past as both a servant of Plasma and an object of worship, and hardly recognizable from her days during the Team Plasma insurrection, Anthea is a fun-loving young woman relishing her freedom despite her demure, soft-spoken demeanor.
She uses her newfound freedom both to serve the Pokemon she truly adores with her sister, and also to gorge herself in the wide world of internet and media culture.
Former member of Team Plasma, the so-called Goddess of Love, one of the two young women put in charge of raising N despite being of similar age.
Adopted by Ghetsis, from the same orphanage as Concordia, with whom she was already close friends with. One might think that being raised in a castle after knowing life without blood family would be material for a classic rags-to-riches story...
With no mother to speak of, and with Ghetsis as their nominal guardian, Anthea adapted to the role she was forced into, imitating what she understood to be an ideal maternal figure. Chaste, self-disciplined, an ear to lend to all under Plasma's banner...
But ideals are often goals, and sometimes, fantasies. Reality can be much harsher.
As the designated maternal figure to all of Plasma's children, she not only bore the troubles of raising a young man around her age, but was left with littler choice to also listen and bear the worries of countless Plasma faithful, many of whom were her seniors.
All the while being sequestered from the secular world.
As she preached unconditional love, hatred boiled deeply within her heart. With every lesson given to N, she fantasized being in his place.
With every benediction spoken before her faithful, she prayed for an inferno, burning all adherents, save her 'sister' to cinders and ash. A fist on flesh. Flexed fingers on skin.
... When the siege of Castle Plasma came to pass, her smile was undeniable as she greeted the daring invader. And upon tasting freedom for the first time in years, she threw herself into learning all that she could of the 'secular' world.
