     oh boy. by the looks of things, it seemed like a tornado whirled its way through their immaculate kitchen but what a story this made for the future. his darling dearest, probably too buried in her thoughts to realize that she made too much of a good thing until after all was said and done. “well the cookies look great. they’ve got a myrcella charm to them,” bash snickered, starting up the light shaking of his head again. “ah ah ah. don’t touch me with your – oh, they’re clean.” gladly, the young man kisses her back, large hands cradling her cheeks, the tips of his digits tickled by blonde baby hairs. “don’t worry about it, honey. it looks like you’ve had a lot of fun. but that means that i get to all of the cookies, right? especially the wonky christmas trees. they look like shrubs, actually.” truly a joke that she wouldn’t take much offense to, if at all.

     over the phone, myrcella made it sound as though it was going to be the most spectacular surprise in the world. just a little something-something for him to return home to in honor of their favorite holiday, and it certainly helped him get through the work day. however, whenever he arrived at the door to their home, bash is greeted by myrcella who is particularly white today, practically covered from head to toe with flour. “cella…….”

     a cheeky look on his face was soon broken by the sound of his own laughter and how his mouth reached from ear to ear in a smile. “you’re a mess! yeah, let me just put down my stuff….” shaking his head in disbelief, bash leans down to kiss his girlfriend square on the lips, all the while trying to keep his suit from being tainted white. briefcase and jacket hung up in the closet, he wanders over to the kitchen to find what all the mess was about. “was this the surprise? me coming home to CLEAN the kitchen?” he joked.

She’s lost it by the time he says her name, nearly dissolving into helpless giggles, restrained only by the fact that she’s still covered in flour, hands still covered in sticky cookie batter. She’s still laughing as she kisses him back, trying her very hardest not to transfer any of her cookie mess to his clean work clothes. 

Managing to turn the kitchen sink on with her forearm, she rinses the worst of the cookie dough from her hands as he drops off briefcase and jacket, leaving her with just enough water to flick at him for his remark. “NO. I was making cookies. See?” She points to the tray of lopsided Christmas trees and wonkily-pointed stars. “I just...got a little carried away?” Another giggle escapes as she looks at her mess, shaking her head before turning back to Bash with an innocent-looking smile. “But help cleaning the kitchen would be nice.”

“I guess...” She gives a sigh as she flops down on the end of her bed, chin resting on wrists, staring resolutely at the floor. She just hasn’t been much in the Christmas spirit, lately - odd, for her, but with everything happening she just couldn’t seem to hold on to it. .

“Um...” The dollop of whipped cream is hanging precariously from her spoon, clinging just at the edges, almost ready to fall into the waiting mug of marshamallow-less hot chocolate. She looks up at Margaery quizzically, a little smile playing at the corners of her mouth, just as the whipped cream falls into the mug. “Not always?”
