Hello. I’m very sorry to have to ask this again but my mom had an accident earlier in the year, and then several surgeries that ended up being botched by an incompetent doctor. Among other things, he was supposed to do a total reverse shoulder replacement but only did a partial and her shoulder is dislocated still. The surgeries happened in April and we didn’t find out the extent of what went wrong (while waiting to heal & being told by the doctor’s staff that there was nothing wrong, that the pain would last forever, that it was nerve damage from the accident) until November.
The follow-up appointment to schedule the surgery isn’t available until December 14th, which makes me think that we’re not going to be able to have the surgery until after January, and we’ll have to pay out of pocket until we meet her insurance deductible ($2,000) again, after doing so in April.
We’re already struggling; we have $180 to last until Dec 7th (writing this on Nov 30th). If on the off-chance there is an available day for surgery within the rest of the yr, all money will go purely to necessities like groceries & bills.
No one is obligated to donate but if you can, my paypal is [email protected].
If you can’t, I completely understand & I appreciate just a reblog.
You can read a more detailed version of events in this google doc; I’ve been keeping it updated since this happened & I had to take time away from social media to become my mom’s caretaker.
