“Smart,” Agnes admitted as they started the walk towards the banks. “Anything in particular you hope to get out of this trip, Danger Dan?”

“As usual” He commented. “Adventure.” He stated simply as they continued to walk. “What are you hoping to get out of this.”

“Your baby huh?” Amelia joked and shook her head. “Is this a steady relationship you’ve got with the buggy?” The blonde teased. She opened her eyes wide. “Trust me. The first hour of driving is just the same as staying here.”

“Oh yes, I’m hoping it proposes soon.” He grinned in jest. “Well sounds like you need to open your eyes to the beauty around you. Might make that four hour drive better.”

Rae rolled her eyes, trying to tune the other out. She unplugged that same wire and placed it in the area that he told her to. The Engineer recorded the results before looking back at Desmond. “I think you have a different definition of ‘helpful’ than I do, really.”

He smirked cockily as she plugged in the wire. “Oh you do, do you? I’d say I was actually helpful there. Please enlighten me, whats your definition.”

They arrived at the lake and began unpacking items. As Agnes pulled her own satchel around her shoulder, she headed back towards Desmond. “Need help carrying anything?” She raised an eyebrow.

“I’m good,” He said grabbing a small back pack off the back of the buggy. He turned to her. “I’m leaving most of my stuff on the buggy incase of the need for quick evacuation.”

“Back at you,” Agnes nodded shortly, moving towards Adom and away from Desmond. She briefly considered back, but couldn’t bring herself to. She tried to weigh how she felt about Desmond, but found her emotions were too jumbled to discern.

Desmond packed the last of his stuff onto the buggy, hopping in the driver seat. He turned and looked at Agnes as she walked off.

“You only know because of stolen plans from this ship, so don’t act all high and mighty.” Rae retorted back quickly at him. She was never really good at keeping her feelings at bay. The woman promptly ignored the other and plugged into the spot she was originally going to. “Funny, I don’t remember asking for you opinion.”

“I actually think it’s from years of knowledge, but the plans helped with other things.” He shrugged not phased by the others comment. “Whatever, just trying to be semi helpful for once.”

“Yeah, with any luck it’ll be fairly straightforward,” Agnes smiled softly, and then bit her lip. “Er… I already placed all my stuff over by Adom. Sorry.”

“Your loss.” He said with a small shrug. “More buggy for me I guess. Just don’t get hurt, alright,love.”

“Of course not, just remember to watch for doorways.” It comes out as a breathy laugh, her eyes rolling before she steps away towards her cabinets to find the first aid kits. Amused by his statement, she remains there for a moment before standing and placing her hand on her hip. “Whatever you want, Dessy, you know you’ll get.”

He rolled his eyes but smiled at the comment. He watched as she stepped towards the cabinet. “Oh, anything I want Doc? I’ll have to keep that in mind.” His lips were curled into a devilish grin.

“I might have just got back,” Amelia chuckled. “But I do plan on joining the trip to the lake,” She continued. The blonde sat down on a tree stump and took a drink of water. “Are you coming as well?”

“Yes, someones got to drive the buggy, and I don’t trust anyone else with my baby.” He leaned up against the tree. “Also it’ll be nice to explore some more of this planet.”

“That’s definitely a matter of opinion,” Amelia smirked and looked at his under her eyelashes.

“Well you’re not wrong.” He smirked back. “So, are you planning on staying in camp or are you joining Clayton on our trip to the lake?”

“The lake itself isn’t too bad,” Agnes explained, remaining fairly neutral as she zipped her pack up. “But there’s a nasty bugger that hangs around there, a predator sort of like the ones that attacked our mission recently. You’ve gotta watch out for him.”

“Well then hopefully this trip won’t be too bad.” He said shrugging off the creature’s presence. “Well anyway, I’ve got a free spot on the buggy if you’re trying to travel in style.”

“Careful, you keep an ego like that and  I’ll have to give you something to fix that big head.” Marianne had honed her sarcasm over the years – She didn’t care who she used it on, you get her going, she would show you her own silver tongue. Standing properly, she walked towards him, lips tilted into a challenging smirk. “I don’t think I heard a please or even the slightest bit of begging.”

“Trust me, no one can fix that.” He grinned, shrugging off her comment. “Oh I’m sorry, did you not realize it was me, Desmond. I don’t think I’ve ever begged a day in my life. So, love, help a guy out for the hell of it?”
