Trauma didn't make me nice, I consciously made me nice because I don't want anyone else to suffer like I did. Trauma didn't make me strong, I made me strong. Don't you dare ever tell me my trauma made me anything but scared, broken, and confused. Don't give credit to the abusers for me being a good person. They didn't make me good, I made myself good.

Perceive yourself as a successful person. Perceive yourself as a lovable person. Perceive yourself as the person who’s worthy of all the best in life.

Never beat yourself up for believing people are genuine as you think they are. Even if it turns out they aren’t, your good faith in their actions is a reflection of your kind heart and how you feel. It doesn’t make you crazy or naive, it just shows how compassionate you are.

the older i grow the more i realize i don’t know anything for certain and other people also haven’t got a clue. but more than that, you should always beware anyone who thinks they know everything and question the validly of the things they say especially if this person is in a position of power. no one has all the answers and you need to consider what can someone gain from pretending that they do

I don't know who needs to hear this but... start living. The days are flying by and all you do is work, pay bills, and stress. Enjoy what you can like walks, sunsets, music, laughter. Joy doesn't have to be expensive. You deserve it.
