8. How do they like to unwind after a long day?

There is still quite a lot of anger and tension within Prowl, simmering behind that calm facade, so he…doesn’t exactly unwind, at least not completely. That said, there are certain actions that make him relax a bit more. 

One of them is cleaning and rearranging things on his desk or in his immediate vicinity. Putting his surroundings in order helps him to maintain order in his processor as well. Other things, though not always as successful, are reading and repeating something familiar, like mathematical formulas over and over again. 

And if all of the above methods fail, Thundercracker and Dreadwing are usually there to distract him from his hyperactive thoughts. 

10. If they had to pick one song to listen to for ten hours straight, what would it be?

Prowl knowledge of human music is actually very limited, since he had neither the time nor the desire to learn more about human culture and after his arrival on Earth. Similarly, introducing their tactician to local music wasn’t on his fellow Autobots’ priority list either, back then. 

One song that he once heard and enjoyed enough that he could listen to it for ten hours though, is this one. 

12. What is their pain threshold like? Will a stubbed toe take them down, or does it take something much more drastic?

It depends. Prowl is what used to be described as a war-build or war-inclined mechs by other Cybertronians and as such he has reinforced armour and slightly higher than average pain threshold, so light injuries don’t bother him too much or even go unnoticed if he’s more focused on something else.

1. Does sleep come easy to them or no? What does their bedtime routine look like?

Recharge certainly doesn’t come easily to Prowl and it isn’t always peaceful either. Most of the time, his berthtime routine pretty much consists of just dragging himself to berth when he’s finally too tired to think straight, then hopefully trying to recharge. Preferably alone, since the list of mechs he trust enough to recharge around them is rather short. 

7. Sweet or savory?

Savory, though he isn’t very picky when it comes to his energon.

11. What is their morning routine like? Are they a morning person or no?

Prowl tries to present himself as a morning mech since he believes that it fits with his professional image, but to be fairly honest, he really isn’t. 

He’s definitely more of a night owl and prefers to stay up late and work, while in the morning he would very much prefer to stay in berth for as long as possible. Which wasn’t really an available option during the war and it still isn’t on most days.

Prowl’s doorwings are completely still and optics shutter for a moment; when they open again, they’re too blue and his gaze too cold. 

It’s an old memory, one the Praxian certainly doesn’t like being reminded of. It hurts, even after all those millions of years, and Prowl hates it. 

“Affirmative.” 

“I am not.” 

“Back on Cybertron, I used to serve under Megatron for some time, that would be correct.” 

It was Prowl’s turn for the comm duty and while with all honesty he didn’t expect anyone to call their ship - messages and calls were extremely rare nowadays, after all - the black and white mech still kept monitoring the console, just in case. At the same time, the Praxian let his processor wander through the list of other recent matters that needed his attention, which happened to be the source of his growing, yet still fairly well hidden annoyance. 

Once upon a time it would have been a difficult question - one Prowl wouldn’t be able - and certainly wouldn’t want - to answer. Even now it still hurts to think about this, it still makes his spark ache, filling with a strange mix of grief and anger - but for an entirely different reason. 

“Neither of them is alive in my universe.”
