She was afraid. Afraid that someone could love her and then leave her. She said “they always leave me, how do i know you won’t do the same.“ She wore her open wounds better than she did her heart. She asked for the love part to disappear but when he didn’t give up she questioned his motives. She never thought she was the only one, no matter how much he reassured her. She kept him at a distance thinking he would leave, but little did she know he was falling. Falling for everything she hates, he wanted to kiss every insecurity and hold her when she couldn’t hold herself. She asked "why don’t you just leave.” He said “because you mean the world to me.” She was never treated like a diamond not even half that, so when someone came around with love and respect she didn’t know how to grasp that. She was clear that she wouldn’t share her feelings and while this bothered him, he knew of her past dealings so he accepted. He understood that as long as he had love to give he would be there forever and in time she’ll understand he’s not leaving. In time she’ll understand her true worth and loves true meaning. Till then he’ll love her until she figures out how to love. He’ll hold her until she can hold up herself. He’ll never hurt her because that’s not what he’s here to do. Only love her with all he’s got and show her that she matters too.
