i really loved the beginning of this book but it’s starting to drag so WE’LL SEE…i feel like the most basic heaux reading this enormous hardcover on the train btw…as conspicuous as walking through grand central with my vera bradley duffel bag.

🎶weird dream season!🎶

this past saturday night i was distraught, had to plans sunday morning to meet someone and tell them i was cutting them off–we both knew this but it hadn’t been said yet, meaning the meeting was both a formality and whatever the opposite of “mere formality” is…a meaningful formality?… anyway, the night before this meeting i dreamed there were hundreds of tiny black bugs in my hair, mostly dead, and i had to pull them out and squash them. later the same night i dreamed a nice pair of shoes i'd ordered [in my waking life] had arrived but were white leather instead of plain black. i was with the person i'd been distraught about and i couldn't explain that these weren't what i'd chosen--i was uncomfortable and tried to make it seem like i wasn't the kind of person who casually receives incorrect items in the mail.
