To be honest my most awkward take that I donāt always share is that I donāt particularly think there is anything special about Korean/Japanese misogyny towards women. When in fact, thereās nothing the western world (or men) have done that Korean or Japanese men have not similarly done and vice versa.
So this over obsession with Korean or Japanese āincelsā is like a new fake woke version of yellow peril.
Also itās bizarre to watch people be like āitās ok for us to make up racist fake scenarios about (Asians) because people are nice to them/to defeat the stereotype that east asia is a perfect placeā when itās not really Asian peopleās fault that white people made up an orientalist fantasy of Asia.
