I want to share with you how my two main OCs came to be. Iβve always wanted to make Inteleon and Cinderace OCs but I wasnβt as confident in drawing in general let alone making original designs for Pokemon OCs.
In fact I thought of the concepts and did small doodles of them as early as 2020 but I lost the sketches or kept throwing them out or deleting them off my phone and was never anything past the βtwo Pokemon that are in loveβ idea because of two reasons. 1: I hated the way I used to draw. 2: I wouldβve been ashamed if anyone close to me and would question: βwhy would a grown ass man be drawing Pokemon that are in loveβ if they were to find my old drawings (on paper or my phone).
As the years went by, Iβve always liked the names Charlotte and Winston for some reason and didnβt know how to introduce them. After taking a two art classes in college (storyboarding and drawing principles), being obsessed with the Cuphead Show and Ben 10 at the time, and owning Scorbunny, Sobble and Treecko plushies. I went to make made up stories about them like the plush videos on Youtube (Cute Mario Bros, MandJTVβs old Pokemon Talk videos) but never actually recorded or upload them because no one would care enough to help me out with those. So I drew small comics based on the incorrect quote generator site with those Pokemon.
βWhat took you so long to start uploading your art and comics?β Because I was not confident in my stuff back then like I said and people are super negative on the idea of both the Cinderace and Inteleon lines having any sort of attention because they were βfurry slopβ
There were some personality ideas changed about them as well as some other OCs Iβve made. But it wasnβt until 2025 where I said: βscrew itβ and made this account. Their designs are pretty much 1-to-1 to their game counterparts (Apart from Winston have a scar on his right hand and Charlotte being chubby having pink inner ears) I have made other Pokemon OCs, small comics and few poses with an artsyle I consider comfortable with, even if itβs a little too simple for modern standards online. But it wasnβt enough.
It wasnβt until a year later when I decided to randomly draw my two main OCs dressed as Taunie and Paxton from Legends ZA. Performance wise, it did some numbers. But I was proud of those pieces. Somehow fitting both Charlotte and Winston and I wanted to tweak them a bit.
I want to thank CathMaractus on Twitter and Bluesky for giving me some ideas and feedback on what I could do in terms of outfits without straight up copying the ZA outfits. And in my opinion, were perfect. Even made fanart of them.
Butβ¦ what does that leave the rest of my OCs? To be honestβ¦ The reason why I havenβt made new art for the other OCs (Ren the Sceptile, Anya the Lopunny, Margaret the Charizard, Victor the Greninja, Gordon the Ditto, etc) is because I have 0 ideas for outfits and design tweaks along with IRL stuff getting in the way.
It goes for an official Bio/reference sheet for Charlotte and Winston too. (Winstonβs is nearly finished but I still need to work on Charlotteβs Bio).
The reason why Iβm telling you this is because Iβm working on a comic series for my ocs but itβs still in the early stages and still trying to figure out the ages and era it takes place in. I kinda wanna start with my ocβs origins and how they met. I want it to be a multi-generational story with character arcs and lore but Iβm afraid itβll get confusing And too complicated on something thatβs supposed to be just a fan comic and donβt want it to end up having the same fate as the Eeveelution Squad fan comics (Donβt know the full details on the controversy) but one day Iβll get the help and inspiration I need.
That was one hell of a tangent Iβm so sorry yβall. If you can give feedback and criticism on what I need to make these comics and future art possible. I would greatly appreciated it! Love you all! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
I still have Bluesky, Twitter and Strawpage so donβt be afraid to ask me anything regarding my ocs and maybe even potential feedback and criticism. Thank u!!
