Have I not done an Aesop post before? DANG! How can i not?!?!
Girls, trust me. Once you start, there aint no stopping.
I actually came to know about the brand when i was about 18 yo, which  I suppose was about the time where Aesop launched its first store here in SG. BUT i had no idea these little lab-looking bottles were from Aesop. I was just a sucker for these nice little bottles. #onceasuckeralwaysasucker
As a student back then, the price point is a little steep so I kept to the usual facial foam and skincare items from the pharmacy like Watsons. But my love for those little bottles never died hahaha!
And it wasnt till I got into the working society where I was officially introduced to their products. Thanks to my God-sent colleagues, who told me to give their products a try because of my constant break-outs. These break-outs were hell for me because I wasn even sure what was causing it. For sure it wasnt my diet. The whole air-conditioned environment, carpeted floors, the crazy busy lifestyle that added to the already sky-high stress level, make-up?
So when I was headed for my much needed vacay to Melbourne, guess who headed for Aesop first? :D
Let me just say that the customer service at Aesop is as consistent as their products. No, im not paid to do this post, although I would love to be sponsored HAHA.
So there was this really lovely lady (whom I cant remember her name), she understood my skin concerns she recommended me a couple of items. She also shared with me about her skin, on how she had bad, bad, bad break-outs prior to using Aesop. I believe it was cystic acne. She only got better after using Aesop’s products dilligently and now, I kid you not, her skin, you can’t even tell she experienced cystic acne apart from a few little bumps here and there!
Okie, so for a start, she introduced me to the Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste because I’m always in make-up for work and it’s always important to exfoliate at least once a week. I am absolutely in love with this. it’s a must get if you want clean and soft skin.

My routine usually includes their Primrose Facial Cleansing Masque after exfoliating as a final cleansing-decongesting step.

and the hydration products: Fabulous Face Oil which can be used together with the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum. Did you know that many of us have the misconception that if you have oily skin, you cant add oil to your skin? Same goeI was glad that I managed to clarify this at Aesop because, you actually can! You’ve just gotta understand your skin a little better, find out what skin type you are, find the right oil for the skin and with the right amount, you’ll hydrate it better and you’ll get healthy glowy skin. IF my memory serves me well, this Fabulous face oil actually helps keep the little bumps on your face at bay while the serum is another hydrating product that can be used together with the oil. And I do see the results after using it for a couple of months. *Toing Toing*

She advised that I should be adding about 3 drops of the face oil to about 5 drops of the serum because it’s usually really dry in the office but it got a little too sticky for the face. I actually cut it down to 2 drops of oil to about 3 drops of serum so that it’s not toooo hydrating for the skin. The new combination felt better on my skin.
AND i’ve just added another to the family: Bitter Orange Astringent Toner. Love how this one feels on ma skin even though it’s the only one with alcohol in it. They actually have 2 other toners, the Parsley Seed and the B & Tea balancing toner but these 2 are more suitable for those with slightly drier skin. Mine’s a little on the oily-combination kinda skin and hence this baby here.

I think that’s about it for now. Always happy to add on to this collection but for now, they’re serving me really well :)
