As much change as we have seen in the past 5 years, you'd think we could all realize that we are on the same team! I blame the media for dividing us. We all want the same things, if we could take just a little time and properly communicate with each other, we would all see, ultimately, we all want the same things. So, let's just sit back, quit fighting, quit pointlessly arguing on social media and start being kind, thoughtful, and caring. Let's make this world what we want it to be.

I just got back from Sugarcreek, OH! I was shooting a movie there for 3 weeks and it was so amazing! The Amish way of life is so enticing. I don't know about you, but, lately things have felt off about this world. I began to feel like the Amish are on a better path than we are. Life is slower, WAY less stress, simple. There's something very attractive about that. I didn't want to leave. Now, that I am back, I am trying to incorporate some of that lifestyle into my life. I think we can all learn a little from the Amish. Thank you for a wonderful time Sugarcreek! Have any of you had an experience like this?

My daughter is turning 16 in a few days! I cannot believe how fast the time goes. I am finding myself treasuring every little moment. So often we get caught up in the day to day stuff that we forget to stop and appreciate it all! Being a Mom has really taught me this. I don't always do it, but, I am definitely better than I used to be. How about you? Are you rushing through life? Stop, take a moment, appreciate, contemplate, and enjoy! Even if you can't afford a vacation or are able to take the time off, you can do a mini vacay! Hit the beach or a lake or just lay out in the sun in your own backyard or patio. It's important to take some time to yourself and just relax. Life is too short to always be working or stressing. Even a short walk cheers me up. Make sure you are pampering yourself on a weekly basis and maybe smaller things on a daily basis. Examples of daily things might be a good book, a facial, a special dessert, or a phone call with a friend. Get creative!

Is it just me or are you less patient nowadays? I think it's the negative energy in the world that is causing it. It's super frustrating because I'm normally a pretty patient person, but, now, I find myself not being able to be patient. I mean I still can be, but it's a lot more work now to control it. How do we get through this negativity? I am walking more and praying. Relaxing more, making sure I do social things almost daily. If you don't, it's easy to get caught up in negative thoughts! How do you go about setting your goals? I like to plan out the steps that it will take to get to that goal and then do a little every day to get me to it. I also strongly believe in manifesting things, I love to think about my goals every day and thank God for them. Putting so much energy into your goals will bring those goals to you. Don't ever give up, put in the work and you will reach your goals! I wish you the best of luck!

This is so true! This year I have already booked a Hallmark movie and now I'm heading to go shoot a Lifetime movie, then another movie...it's crazy how when you are in the right mind set, it all just comes at you...when it rains, it pours! Don't you love new things? That's how I look at a new year! It's a chance to change things that didn't work, it's a chance to continue with things that did. I start out with a new planner and I write birthdays and vacations in right away and then I start planning. What do I want to change about my relationships, health, house, career, etc. It's fun to plan. Do you enjoy doing this as much as I do? Start fresh, get organized, declutter, have more fun, laugh more, visit with others more, make that call, write that email or letter. If it matters to you, make sure you give it attention. Is it just me or do you feel like we've lost the reason for the season? I am not enjoying shopping like I used to...we all have what we need anyway. We've implemented with lots of our family members the "gifts only for the kids or a small something" policy, but, there are some that still want that frenzy of gifts. I just don't see the point...we all just went to hang out and play games anyway. If there is something I need or want, I can buy it myself. I just feel there is way too much pressure to find that perfect gift. I want to lessen my stress during the holidays and make it about the people, not the gifts. Do you feel this way? What does it really mean to be thankful? I feel like I am not seeing much thankfulness in the world lately. Customer service has gone down hill across the board, people just don't seem as kind as they used to be. How do we become grateful and thankful again? Decide to be! That's really all it takes....we just have to wake up and decide to be thankful. Everything you see, be thankful for it, everything you do, be thankful for it, everyone you see, be thankful for them. Super easy! I challenge everyone reading this to try it for a week and see how they feel. I am willing to bet it will change the energy in your life. I know it works for me. I wish everyone a Wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Be thankful for all of your family and friends, no matter how much they may drive you crazy. :) Love to all!

I don't think there is one person who would say they love our world today. It's very sad. People argue at the drop of a hat, people hate for no reason, and people can just be downright mean. It makes me so sad. When you start looking into the corruption in this world, it makes you even more depressed! How do we change things? Can we change things? I don't know the answer...but, I do know that the least we can do is be kind to each other. If we all commit to just that, we might be able to make a difference. Let's all keep faith that we can fix this world....."All We Need is Love".

There are many things in life that cause fear in us. It seems like fear has become a daily occurrence for most people. How do you face fear? Do you avoid it, stand up to it, or run from it? Fear can be debilitating, it can also be freeing. Our media likes to create drama, which in turn can cause fear in us viewers. They play scary music when a storm is coming, they use descriptive words, like a "monster of a storm". Are they doing this to make their jobs more interesting or are they doing this to scare us? I don't understand why the weather channel needs scary music to warn us of impending storms. Has everything become entertainment? And if so, how much heed do we need to give it? Just some thoughts for you on this Monday afternoon.

All of us experience FOMO at some point in our lives. Why do we ALL have fear of missing out? Are we really missing out if we have to miss something? Aren't we all exactly where we are supposed to be? The guilt, sadness, anger that comes from FOMO has to be stopped. We cannot allow ourselves to feel this. Trust that you are where you should be and if it was your experience to be had, you'd have it. I've gotten much better at this as of late. Don't be so attached, don't be so desperate, just be. Everything that is meant for you will happen to you. Trust.

Why are some decisions so hard to make?  Wouldn’t it be great to have someone to help you make the difficult decisions?  Well, you do have someone...God....go with your gut.  God guides us to the correct decisions, but, also keep in mind that sometimes the best decision is NOT making one at all.  You’ve got this...trust in God, he will speak to you through your gut and through your heart.  

Is life getting you down lately?  There is so much going on in every aspect, in every country.  It’s difficult to process and to know where we are going.  So many changes to our financial system, some foods we aren’t seeing on the shelves anymore, lots of people dying.  How can we stay positive with all of this turmoil?  I don’t know the answer.  I’ve discovered “grounding” helps...sitting or standing on the ground without shoes...it helps balance energy.  I also enjoy long walks and getting some sun.  Music helps too.  Try to see family and friends, often that is a great way to get out of a funk.  Read, take the time to learn something new, be kind.  Eat something nutritious and delicious.  Pray.  Prayer really helps when you feel helpless.  Keep hanging in there....good things are coming our ways if we believe it and trust it.  Sending you all love.

So, I have friends who have gone down rabbit holes big time these past 3 years and I have friends who choose to get their news from our media.  I have gotten information from many sources and things just aren’t adding up when it comes to what is happening in this world.  If I hear something on the news, I like to then fact check them myself.  It’s an interesting game.  With social media and cameras on everyone’s hip, it’s easy to see what is going on in all parts of the world.  And with that knowledge you too can see how factual the news is.  has anyone else done this and what have you found?  I, personally have found that the news often doesn’t even tell the real story...they dance around reality, but use their reporting to make the story more interesting or perhaps an agenda.  I’m to the point where I want proof now, of everything.  Pictures, video, and  words can all be manipulated.  The best news comes from our friends who live in those areas, ask them what really went down...don’t just blindly trust.
