Peter Pelican: No Guns Allowed

Finished screen printing, decided to title the piece “Shinning Darkly”. Overall I’m satisfied with how it came out and enjoyed the experience.

Applying inks to screens

Stages of progression for our screen printing project in Art 143. The theme was darkness so I had the idea of a flashlight emitting darkness instead of light on a sphere, which I eventually turned into an eye ball of some sort. I might post my beginning sketch, and other ideas, but these were the major steps to the final product.

Pieces to build your own Clockbot. I recommend using card-stock as regular printer paper is a little flimsy. Just cut little slits on the white lines and into the clock where you want the appendages to go. I recommend having the body sandwiched in-between the legs about halfway down so it has the best chance of staying up for a long period of time. If you get yourself a brad or fastener you can have a spinning dial to set the clock to where-ever you want. otherwise just staple or tape or glue the dials where-ever you’d desire.

If I could change anything it would have been to add come color shading to Peter Pelican, but otherwise I think it turned out great.

I will post more of what I did for this character and maybe work on him more in the future.

Class project of making an animal out of letters. I went for a newt and am pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

Color version of Clockbot for Art 143, I based him off an alarm clock. So in my mind he’s a character that freaks out every day at 6 AM and screams in buzzers and beeps.

Robot Project for Art 143. Paper robot that stands up on it’s own. I call him Clockbot.
