“Because you are skilled in the art of killing. DIO needs people of your talents if he is to reign supreme.  And because you are very attractive to boot…” No one can ever accuse him of being dishonest in his intentions here. 

“I’d very much like to have you as friend rather then an enemy. It would be profound waste for you to die in futile opposition to me. Not when you could have a long happy life instead. Perhaps one unending like mine.”

     She just looked at him. She neither seemed convinced by his words, nor enraged. She was as emotionless and expressionless as ever as she just looked at him:

     She didn’t seem impressed or shaken a bit as she watched her bullets being ineffective against him. He was extraordinary, even for a vampire. That much was for sure. So she just put her gun away and looked at him, before asking:

He watched her, suprise in his expression. It was hardly noticable, though there was a light shift in her voice. It seemed like she really did mean this apology. And the spirit definitely was not used to having a demon hunter apologize to him. Mainly because he never saw any of them again after running away – though it was hard to avoid seeing someone more often when he stays at one single place. 

“ Apology accepted. “

     She nodded, feeling something twitch inside of her. A sudden desire to move her mouth upwards? Ah yes… It was called smiling. Difficult to do so, in fact. She just continued to stare at him as he was now standing before her.

     She nodded again, after he accepted it and promptly said one thing:

“…”

“ Uhm… “ 

The proper way to apologize? Did she… really not know? To Snow it never seemed like such a difficult thing. But then again, he never had anyone apologizing for almost causing his death – nor had he apologized for something like that. Was there even a right way for such an apology? 

“ Just saying it? That you’re sorry? Asking me to forgive you? Something like that… It’s not really that hard. However an apology is only an apology when the words said are meant that way. “

     Well… That was actually kind of obvious, right? Even she did get that… But yes, he was right about that. She had never to apologize to anyone before. She was not made like that. For her, every person she might owe an apology for, was probably dead.

     He was the first one.

     So, she just nodded. Feeling something like determination well up inside of her as she bowed before him:

“ Randomly kissing someone… isn’t exactly what I’d expect to be an apology outside of bad movies. “ It just got him very off guard, not to mention he was always so tense at the mere presence of a demon hunter. And while she did not try to kill him again, he still is not very good with getting over that one attack. 

“ … uh… “ Crimson eyes looked at the hand that was held out to help him up. And he took that help, muttering a “thank you” as he got up.

     “I understand…” She replied. So it was not like her books then, the more you know... She had actually spared him that time, or she had just stopped fighting after quite some time. Being it the first time she had actively refused to follow through orders and lied to her superiors about killing him. 

     After helping him up, she continued to look up at him and some hesitation was noticed, before she began to speak again.
