however, t4t rejects every single notion of that. it tossed out everything that says we must be subjected to cis people’s consumption, that we must be so close to cis that we abandon our own identities as trans to submit to that standard. it recognizes that we do not need cis people to be loved, to be accepted, understood, and so much more than simply tolerated. we do not need cis people for happiness. we do not need cis people for anything. we have one another, and we can love one another, and appreciate one another’s struggles and alleviate all of them.

i’m trans and would only date other trans people. why? because i do not owe cis people anything, and nothing they can give me means anything to me either. i will love exclusively my trans sisters and siblings for as long as i fucking live. i do not need the approval of cis people to be worthy of love. i do not need to be palatable to cis people to be worthy of love. i do not need to be understood by cis people to be worthy of love. i do not need to be tolerated by cis people to be worthy of love.

i ask you this: what have cis people ever really done for us?

warm and soft skin touching during cuddles

giggling because your s/o is giggling

gentle kisses on the cheek/lips while talking

your s/o remembering small things you’ve said

fixing each other’s collars and sleeves

your s/o getting that one annoying hair out of your mouth while brushing their fingers against your cheek

feeling your s/o sigh happily on your neck

bunny/nose kisses!!!!

jumping unexpectedly on their back when they’re walking ahead of you

staring into each other’s eyes for a long time and not ever getting uncomfortable

taking naps on each other on public transport

hugs from behind while one is sitting down and the other is standing up so their arms cross upon your chest and their head rests on yours!!!
