“Imagination”

“If you can’t see he’s flirting with you and wants you then you need your eyes check Y/n!” Dele yells annoyed. You roll your eyes at his jealousy. You can’t understand why he thinks that. Just because you were friends with a guy and close, did not mean he was trying to get anything from you.

“Seriously Dele stop. It’s not like that, he’s not like that.”

“Oh of course you’ll back him. As a guy I know what he’s doing and if you can’t believe what I’m saying then this conversation ends here.” He says before slamming the door as he leaves for his game.

You let out a little frustrated scream. You feel your body tingle with annoyance and try to shake it off. You close your eyes for a few seconds and breathe. As you compose yourself you grab your keys and phone and make your way to the stadium in your Dele shirt. You wasn’t going to let his little jealous tantrum stop you for enjoying the match and supporting him.

You celebrate as he scores and he seems so happy about it. He hugs and shakes hands with his teammates and you hope his mood stays that way. The final whistle blows and the crowd roars as they celebrate their win. You watch as Dele leaves the pitch with a big smile and decide to go meet him near the lockers.

You meet a couple fans and players and congratulate them on the win.

“Still wearing that name I see.” You hear and you turn to see Eric talking to you, pointing at your Spurs shirt. You laugh as he’s always joking about getting you into a shirt with his name, knowing how annoyed his bestie Dele would be. He’s even tried to get you to prank Dele by purposefully wearing his name to a game, but you couldn’t go through with it.

“Hey Eric and yes of course, this one suits me the most.” You reply as you give a playful twirl.

You continue to talk until you catch a glimpse of Dele walking out. You politely excuse yourself as you approach him.

“Baby you played so good. What an amazing goal.” You beam as you try to hug him. He moves your arms to the side as he continues to walk. He snarls at you and continues to dismiss you.

“Dele, where you going?” You try to hug him again and he’s flipping you off just like when he’s on the pitch. Hurt you just stand there as you watch him walk away. Pissed at his dismissive behaviour you think of a way to get his attention and get him back.

You see Eric still out and talking to Kieran and see your opportunity. You quickly make your way to them.

“Eric!” You shout hoping to get the attention of Dele.

“I’ve thought about it and decided to give your shirt a chance.” You say loudly. At the sound of shirt Dele quickly pivots in his spot. You see it and quickly direct your attention back on Eric.

“Ahhh see I knew you’ll come around.” He jokes and he quickly leaves to get a fresh pair. When he comes back Dele is still watching you. You swiftly remove your shirt, leaving your vest on, and slowly slip Eric’s one on. You hold Dele’s shirt in your hand as you give another playgroup twist in the new shirt.

“Hmm not bad..” you start and soon Dele’s right next to you tugging on your arm.

“Babe come on.” He says as you roll your eyes at him.

“Um no I think I’ll stay here, you can go.” You reply not letting him get off easily. Eric realises there’s tension and smirks at you.

“Looks good.” He smiles adding fuel to the fire purposely.

“She looks good in anything mate. But only my name goes on the back of her shirt.” Dele replies sassily as he grabs your hands and takes you outside. You almost laugh at his attitude and see Eric giving you a knowing wink.

“Let go!” You demand as you’re finally in the car park. You cross your arms and look away from him. He lets out a sigh and tries to turn you to face him.

“Babe.” He says.

“Who’s babe? I think you got the wrong person.” You say sassily. Still wearing Eric’s shirt he scorns at it.

“Babe I’m sorry. Look at me, please.” You huff and finally face him.

“I’m sorry about earlier. It’s just I don’t want to lose you and I’m just jealous.” He confesses. You relax your shoulders a bit at his words and fight a smile.

“I’m sorry for shrugging you off as well when all you was doing was congratulating me. I shouldn’t have done that.” You finally uncross your arms and smile at him.

“It’s okay but Del trust me, if he tries anything I’m coming straight to you. Also never dismiss me again but just know I love you.” You say as you go to hug him. He stops you however.

“What now?” You ask impatiently.

“Babe can you take that off now? You know how I get.” He says and you jokingly roll your eyes. You remove it and replace it back with his shirt.

“Better?” You ask giggling.

“Yes.” He chuckles and he embraces you tightly.

“I love you Y/n and so glad you put up with me.” He says.

“At least I got to see you in my shirt for a few seconds.” You hear and both turn to see Eric laughing.

“Glad you got entertained.” Dele replies sarcastically and Eric just laughs even more.

Shaking his head Dele gets you inside the your car as you follow his, laughing at his reaction.
